We are once again going to be offering classes in this department. We're hoping to offer Irish and Highland classes. There's also a possibility of having some kind of Irish language class, although that will probably be held in the academic department (if Noreen is up to it).

Please let us know what kind of classes you're interested in so that we can begin setting them up.

Highland and irish dance classes would be nice. Gaelic language would be an interesting class.
Do we ever do shows?

i'm not sure what they did in the past since i've just recently become head of this department along with SeniorLady, however, if there is eventually enough interest in this department i don't see why we couldn't do some shows! that would be very, very nice!!

Along with our monthly competitions, we've tried to organise concerts and ceilidhs without much luck. If there is enough interest, we'll definitely do those things.

We wouldn't want people who work at their computers all day to get bored, would we?

If this means that I can take Irish dance lessons here on this site, then count me in! I've never had a proper teacher and I'd love to compete and start getting somewhere with the dancing!

They're not real dancing lessons, of course. We can't teach you how to dance, but we can share tips etc. with you. In the end, if you'd like to beome a dancer, you'll need to go to a teacher! Good luck.

well,people sign up for classes,and never show up,I have had my class up for about 2 weeks,and no one comes to it!!!

I'm glad you're interested in VIS, but we can't really teach you Highland or any other form of dance here; it's only for fun, of course. I can't remember who teaches the Highland classes (it might be me, haha), so hang around, and I'll get something together for you in the next couple of days!

Can i still sign up? i would love to take a higland course and if there is gonna be a gealic course that would be cool too! Or am i too late?
