Welcome to the first Disco Team class!
There are 7 of you in the team and you are called Rhapsody!
You are dancing to Shake Your Shimmy and today we will do the opening of the dance! enjoy yourselves ...

CLASS 1
----
Your starting position will be you all in a line along the back of the stage in this order -
Amy - Lise - Amie - Rochelle - Emily - Sabina - Hollie
Amy, Lise and Amie will be facing the right side of the stage
doing a back-catch with their right leg.
Emily, Sabina and Hollie will be facing the left side of the stage
doing a back-catch with their left leg.
Rochelle will be facing the front of the stage in a pose with both arms in the air.
For the first 4 counts of the song you will stay in your starting position.
Then, the 2 girls on the end of the line - Amy and Hollie,
come out of their back-catch (4 counts)
and run forward doing drag runs for 4 counts, then both will kick the right leg and grab it so you are in a leg hold. (2 counts).
Once Amy and Hollie are doing their leg hold the next 2 girls on the end will do what Amy and Hollie just did.
So the next girls are Lise and Sabina,
both will come out of their back catches (4 counts)
do 4 drag runs to the front
then kick their right leg and hold (2 counts).
As Lise and Sabina catch hold of their legs,
Amy and Hollie will release their leg and drop to the floor
so you are crouched down facing the front of the stage.
Amie and Emily will repeat the 4 drag runs and leg-hold,
as Amie and Emily catch their legs, Lise and Sabina will
drop to the floor crouched, facing the front.
Then Rochelle will do 4 drag runs down the centre of the stage,
then 4 spins and a split leap, then land in the middle splits. As Rochelle finishes her last spin before her split leap -
Amie and Emily drop down into a crouched position facing the front.
--> So after this opening, you are now in a line across the front of the stage, all crouched down except for Rochelle who is in the middle splits.
