I think it totally depends on what you want to get out of it. Pilates is more about building strong, lean muscles, and yoga is more about relaxation and stretching. I personally like pilates better, but I have done both and enjoyed them both in different ways.

I prefer pilates, it makes you fell like you are more aware of the different parts of your body, yoga is great too but I dont know, I prefer something more challenging

Pilates is more isometric. Yoga is good for gaining better balance and relaxation but i'm more into toning at the moment

I do both yoga and pilates but if I had to choose which I liked the best, it would be pilates, I feel like I get more from it.

I also tried pilates once in a place that didn't specialize and found it boring (although I'd try it again if I knew someone that would recommend a place). I've tried different kinds of yoga, and there were certainly some that were more boring, but there are many more that I like much better. If you've done yoga and don't find it challenging or don't find it relaxing, try different types with different teachers at different levels. There's a huge range out there, from classes that will feel like a waste of time, to classes that will leave you dead tired, to classes that will leave you super relaxed, to classes that will leave you super energized.

I can't actually choose....yoga is for flexibiity and relaxation, and pilates is for toning and strength. I love them both. My life is dance, yoga, and pilates.

I really like both alot.
I like yoga because it is more relaxing and I feel really flexible and stretch afterwards.
I like pilates because it really works my core and inner thighs.
I really like do a blend of both. I like to combine the best aspects that I like from both and do that.

I haven't really had that much experience with yoga. But I really must say that the whole 'pilates is the best' thing turned out to be rather true. It's great for dancers, which is what I think I like about it. I was also quite amused by the fact that with pilates, I was doing some of the same exercises I was doin already at home. (great minds think alike and all that, ;))

i do yoga. i love it because its relaxing and helps you focus, and there are different intensities of the pose so you can stretch/strengthen as much as you want.

Don't make me choose only one!

I guess pilates, solely because I've been doing it longer and I have beautiful abs and arms thanks to it.

I love Pilates. I have never tried yoga, but I have heard that is is more of a "spiritual" experience, which I am not that in to.

My tummy has definatly gotten toned since I have been taking Pilates! It is so wonderful! Pilates SOOO goes hand-in-hand with ballet! It helps your find the right muscle groups so you can better understand corrections you get in ballet class. I loooo ve Pilates!!!!
