The above picture is of me and my duet partner, Katie, and my coaches Vet(short hair) and Von (long hair). We both recieved student of the year.

Here are my coaches opening the recital with a twirling duet together. They were twirling to and remix of I wanna Dance with somebody.


Then in the middle of the number the assistant teachers, Alex & Amanda, came out and joined my coaches to finished the song with a dancing number.


Here is the senior Large Dance Twirl Team that I am on. We twirled to When the Moneys Gone - Cher.


Here is the Seniro Small Dance Twirl Team I am also on. We twirled to Baby I'm a Star - Prince

The main picture (thumbnail) is probably my favorite photo. By the way, what songs did you decide on for the duet?

Well, I started making up a duet for two people, but I didn't know who though. My teacher saw it and liked it, and thought me and my friend in the main picture should do it together. it is to Mighty Wings from the Top Gun Soundtrack. My coach is changing it though, but it is a really cool routine. I think me and her are doing it at TU in Canton.

Is it hard to twirl on a stage with lighting like that??? Did people’s batons roll off?

Yes, its hard to twirl on stage with that lighting, and yes my baton has rolled off stage before, but i ran off stage and got another one...haha

I have also seen you all perform before, you all are great. I know my majorette group was totally in awe of you all when you performed. Where do you all practice at? I have only seen you at one competition this year, Do you go to other competitions elsewhere? Great pictures too. How many members total do you have in your group and what is the age range of everyone?

The studio I practice at, Mirror image, is located in West Virginia. We go to a lot of local competitions, TU Internationals, and a national dance competition a couple times a year called Jam Fest. We have about 35 team members ranging from the age of 3-38

What compeition did you see us at?

I saw you in Parkersburg WV towards the beginning of the year. I think maybe it was in March. You all had lots and lots of props and the monkey and lots of girls performed. It was awesome.

eeee the tiny tots were soooo cute! little kids dancing / twirling/gymnastics = amazing cuteness! after im done with gymnastics and dance i cant wait to teach other little kids! i just love seeing dance and stuff being passed on!

Great photos...so colorful and they really show the energy.

I have a question though: How did you twirl on a stage like that? I retired from twirling a couple of years ago, but we always did our recitals in a gym because our batons would hit the ceiling and get caught in the lights of a stage.

Basically during recital we have to down size our spins. And forget everything we new about straight lines. And we are use to low ceiling, because our ceilings are only 14 feet.
