hay DancingEva, do the different squads at these competitions speak different languages? haha just wondering, because to us in the US, that's pretty weird. we're not used to it really. i've only been to a few competitions where there were some squads that were cheering in spanish and there were two squads at my camp last year that spoke spanish, but it's still a little weird to me to hear words being yelled in another language! haha |

No, we yell in english Actually we count in english aswell. It sound so mutch better. We don't talk the same language though, but because we use english terms and stuff we can understand eachother quite well! Thanks for all the nice replys! |

haha i just noticed i said "hay" in that last post. i meant to say "hey". i have no idea why i said hay lol! must have been a typo. it's too late to go back and edit it now.
anyway, that's cool that you guys yell and count in english. i never knew that! i wish the Mexican squads at our camps would yell in English. it just sounds weird haha! not to mention they're at a predominantly English speaking camp, so you'd think they want us to know what they're saying. what if they've got some really cool, original words, but we won't understand them? |

Yeah I understand what your mean. It must be really wierd not to understands the yells. I think everybody should yell in english because it is a sport from a english speaking country. And it sound soom mutch better anyway, I could never cheer in Norwegian. Sometimes we translate our cheer into norwegian for a laugh. It sound really silly*lol* |
