I posted last Thursday night about my squad's attempts to get to Queensland for the Down Under Spirit Championships! We eventually got up there (after another 24 hours) and competed in our three sections on Saturday.
Our squad was so tired by the time we all got to the venue, but we danced our butts off and had a blast! After everyone had competed, they had the presentation ceremony. Our squad was awarded 1st runner-up for Small Division Open Dance, 4th runner-up for Small Division Pom and 5th runner-up for Small Division Cheer! Our squad was extremely happy with our results considering we had technical deductions in our first round for Pom and Cheer.
We have our next competition (State) in 2 weeks and now we have seen our judging sheets we know what we need to improve. Our squad numbers will go from 7 to 14 for State, which will help fill out the floor a bit more!!
