With such a great international community, I thought it would be really interesting for people to show off their rooms. So I created a "Room salutes" board under general. The rooms can be any room that you're proud of (bedroom, living room, dance studio room, etc.).

To post in this board, you must get a real salute first. Be sure to have a lined salute note with your name and dance.net on it in the picture somewhere. You don't need to be holding the note. It should be readable, but we'll be more forgiving in this forum since it's just for fun. You don't get a different salute icon (maybe in the future), but only people who have saluted can post here.

One note of caution: Please consider removing or obscuring any personally identifying items before you take the photo. These are items that give away your real-life identity or where you go to school. Or remove them in photoshop/paintshop afterwards. We don't need to know where you're going to school or the exact studio name, etc. Better to be safe than sorry.

What a great idea! I suppose I'll have to do a little *(a ton of)* cleaning before I can post, though.

Haha. i love it! it seems that no one ahs posted in here yet so maybe i'll be the first! although i'll have to get my digital camera. i dont think my webcam will fit all the way down the hall.

Nobody deserves to see my room the way it is at the moment. Maybe Ill post sometime in the distant future, but I am looking forward to seeing everyone elses

I have a dance.net salute and posted a room salute pic. Someone posted a message on my pic that I didn't salute! Am I supposed to have a 'sign' in my room pic? I see that some folks do and some do not. Please clarify so that I know if I didn't do it right. I thought I did but someone posted a single remark for my pic 'you forgot the salute.' Thanks for the clarification.

People should have a sign in their photos. It is part of the rules I posted in this thread. Also, it confirms to us that it's your room, and helps prevent someone from stealing your room photos and reusing them elsewhere. Since this room salute forum is for fun, we won't be sticklers for every rule, but it's nice when people do follow them.

i think that this is a great idea!
Its so fun just looking at other peoples rooms and what they like!
i also think there should be a icon like the normal salute one for your room .. Hope this will happen in the future ..
