I was one this website called 43Things where people make a list of 43 things they want to accomplish. I found some really great booklists and thought it would be fun to challenge dance.netters to read their way through a booklist! I did some searching and found a bunch of other great booklists to suit different interests.

Booklists from 43things.com

BBC - The Big Read - Top 100 Books
English PEN's The Bigger Read
ALA 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books of 1990-2000
The Modern Library 100 Best Novels

Booklists for Younger People or the Young-at-Heart

100 Best Books for Teens
NEA Kids' Top 100 Books
NEA Teachers' Top 100 Books

Special Interest Booklists

Feminista!'s 100 Great 20th Century Works of Fiction by Women
Phobos Entertainment's 100Science Fiction Books You Just Have to Read
Sports Illustrated's Top 100 Sports Books of All Time
The 100 Best Lesbian and Gay Novels (selected by The Publishing Triangle)
The Chronicle Western 100 Best Works of Fiction
The Chronicle Western 100 Best Works of Nonfiction

Make Your Own 100 Booklist With These Ideas!

Reading Rants! Out of the Ordinary Teen Booklists
I Hear America Reading... Ten Books for the _____

So pick a booklist, make your own, or find one that you like better! Feel free to post your list, just make sure you've got 100 books, that's part of my challenge! I know 100 books will take a long time to read, but you can post to tell us when you finish, or just update to say how you're coming along. Have fun reading!

There are so many books! I don't know which list to do! Maybe I'll do all of them, haha. It might take me a while, seeing as how my time for reading is limited, but I will give it a shot! Nice challenge!!

i'm definitlry going to attack the BBC Big Read list, i've already got about 15 of the books on that list crossed off. I'll keep you updated on my progress and everyone else who's doing that list do the same. Let us know what you like and what you don't! :)

Skyzieloulou you can post more lists here; if you're reading a list you can tell us how far you've gotten, you can cross off ones you've already read, or you can read all the books on the list even if you have read one already. Do what feels comfortable and feel free to post how you're coming along! That goes for everyone.

I think this is banned book week (at least at my university?) so maybe y'all would like to check out the ALA most challenged book list!

Happy Reading.

I accept the challenge. Here is my list:

Go to the link and then in the middle of the page will be an icon for Rory's Booklist, and there it is. It's a great list!

Hiya

I had a look at the first booklist for kids. Most of them I have already read at some point of my life. I think I will have a look at the teens list then.

Ohh, I think I'm going to try the BBC's 'The Big Read' I've finished all the books I was given Christmas and needed some inspiration for what to read next. I think I'll start with A Tale of Two cities, as I have been meaning to read this for ages but never really got around too it. *runs of to the nearest library*
