You don't have to have a yellow pages ad. If you re-read, it says they will accept ONE of the following forms of proof, one of which COULD be a yellow pages ad. There are other ways to submit proof.

Yes, I know it's one of the ways but I don't have any of the ways and I don't know what the last one is. I didn't have to get a business license, I have an Occupany permit and a sign permit, but honestly I have no I idea where I put them, because I remodeled the studio and am in the process of moving.

What about sending a copy of the phone bill,or the electric bill from the studio? What about your rent statement? I do think these are legitamate ways to prove ownership.
I just tried to join. The system would not accept my card. Then I tried another credit/debit card, and another, and another. Then I tried my husbands cards. None of them worked! I promise, I have the money, I just need to get it too you!

I do own a studio and want to join and pay the fee for access, but I do not want my information listed in the directory. Is there any way I can join and fax all my proof to you without being listed? Please let me know. Thank you.

I feel the same as the above posted message. I don't want my info posted. My reasoning is that I am less concerned about parents reading studio owner comments than I am about my local competitors reading them. While I love this site...I still need to think about whether or not I will join.

(Sorry I haven't replied sooner, I just got finished with a major move.)

Note that your login name is not associated with any directory entries if that helps. (People viewing the directory will not know who created the entry.) We are planning a minor revamp of the owners/teachers admission process which may include changes to the directory system where you could disable or "hide" your entry. Until that's ready, you could just create the entry and send a private message (PM) to the webthighmaster and ask him to hide/remove the entry.

And Ccdance or anyone else having problems, please contact me or webthighmaster and explain the problem you're experiencing. It might be worth reviewing the Studio Owners FAQ since it has a link to the directory entry creation screen.

I'm eager to join but I would prefer not to have my school listed.
I have any verification you would need: website, yellow pgs ad, DBA, etc. I do not have paypal but VISA instead. How do I go forward with this. Kindest regards, MsDebx4@yahoo.com

Hi
I joined and paid my $50 a while ago. I am the I was the office manager and now my husband and I are the owners. Can I still email you our info? We currently do not have a professional web site. we are working on that. But I have our advertisements and our license. There have so many topics relative to my situation that I am unable to access because it is under "general". Am I still able to send my information?
Thank you
Laurie Brady

Hi there,

My area does not require a business license. Can I provide a copy of our trademark for our business name instead?

= fee, yellow pages ad, trademark verification

I just wanted to bump this to the front page of the owners board. I know it's a sticky in the ask board, however a lot of people don't know that there ARE separate boards.

I'm interested in joining to have access to the Studio Owners Private Boards. I don't mind paying to join, but is it possible to join and not list my studio in the directory?

I am still unclear about joining the studio owners board. I have been an owner for over thirty years and I am a member of other similar boards. I guess I was doing something wrong in applying here. Do I have to make 8 more reply comments before I can pay the $50.00 fee and become a full member on the studio board??

I think that the for sale should be open to everyone because if your looking to become a studio owner but aren't one yet this link would help you out.
