I Just got some REALLY good news for me! For 2 whole years before i quit skating I was trying to pass my pre novice test so i could go to sectionals. Well, i was searching the internet about it today and found out that the required jump is a double salchow!! Im so excited because i know i can land that jump still! (I havent been Figure Skating for 2 years, but i used to try my jumps at general skating!) I can still land Axel, double salchow and double toe loop! and im really close to double flip and double loop, but i didnt try double lutzs at general skating cause there my worst jump!!

The only problem is, to go to sectionals this year i would have to pass the test before October, and i dont think i can get any ice time! Plus i need to find a coach, get a solo, and a new dress before i can try it! And right now were kind of tight with money because my mom got injured and hasnt been working for 3 months, and hasnt gotten any unemployment yet!

Wish me luck!

Im just so excited:)

Are you in Canada? I'm not very familiar with their levels and test requirements. Do you know what the equivalent level for pre-novice is in USFSA?
If the tests are anything like they are here, it's much more laid back than competitions. You don't need a fancy dress, just get a practice one and maybe bead it a little yourself. Can you choreograph your own program? I've done that before when I was pressed for time. I'm sure you could do it. Good luck!
