My name is Chelsea, 20 years old and I am from Victoria, Texas. This site is awesome! I have been dancing for over 10 years. During high school I was on the dance team, and my senior year became an officer. I am now attending college, majoring in Psychology. Last year was my first year to teach dance. One of my old dance teachers asked me if I would like to work for her teaching ages from 3-18 tap, jazz, and ballet. Of course I said yes! In November, a job offering came open about 30 miles from where I live, to be in charge of the Hermann Sons dance program. That was a challenge! My first recital being the director was in April. It was a lot of work, but I LOVE IT! I start back up early September. The other job, for my old dance teacher, well... she upset me and was not fair, so I had to unfortunately leave there. But at least I am still going to be teaching! My goal is to open my own studio. I would love to hear some ideas from other teachers and/or owners.
