Made sticky by hylndlas (107168) on 2006-01-09 18:20:28 This seems to be good sticky material

I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread on here (possibly sticky?) that all of us could just post any prayer concerns that we had. People are on here from so many denominations and religions how powerful to all be praying in unity!!!

I will start by telling you something that I have been praying hard for this past week. My friend BJ is 15. He is an amazing person...just one of those people that just being around him is so inspiring! about 2 weeks ago he was diagnosed with pnumonia after a week, he kept getting worse and worse and his family took him to the hospital. He did have pnumonia but it quickly turned much more serious and became the lesser concern as an infection throughout his body was discovered. He is in the hospital on full support while his body tries to heal from this unknown infectious disease. Seeing as how the doctors cannot figure out what it is they don't know how to treat it. As of now the doctors are not confident that he'll make it. Right now BJ in in a drug-induced coma.

Please be praying for my friend BJ.

Also, please post your own prayer concerns....I would love to pray for you!!!

A friend of mine had a seizure yesterday and is in the hospital. He's doing a little better, and is having an MRI today.

My grandmother is in the hospital with diabetes and just had a toe amputated. They have her on a high (probably too high) dose of pain killers, and she has to stay for treatment for three more weeks (a total of six). It's really hard for her to be there, and my grandpa is not taking it well either.

My friends little brother has been having a really hard time. He has tourrettes which causes him to be very anxious and agitated. He recently was in the hospital for a few days with viral menengitus. While he was at the hopsital they discovered a heart murmur and he was referred to a specialist who found a problem in one of his valves, and now that entire valve may need to be replaced. This poor boy is just 15 and is taking hit after hit. Please pray for him. Thank you.
Update on my friend

My friend had the MRI results come back saying the seizure was just from his medication. Now he has to be supervised for 6 months and cannot drive, but at least he's okay and there's nothing wrong with him. Thanks for all your prayers.

My friend's mom (who is also a friend of my mom) has liver cancer. She was just hospitalised and found out the cancer has spread to several surrounding organs. She also has a liver infection. If she isn't stabalised, then she can't continue chemo and the doctors don't think she will live much longer. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. Thank you.

Please pray for everyone who is/will be affected by Hurricane Rita.

My family is evacuating today. We're trying to get my grandmother out of the hospital, as they planned on releasing her today, but moved her to a different hospital. I'm hoping we can get her out and get all of my family out of town before the hurricane comes. It's a category four right now, and there's been speculation about it becoming even more powerful.

A pharmacist friend at work has a cousin, Nathan, who was born about a week ago, premature, and with many things wrong. He was born in desparately grave condition. Almost iommediately, he had the first of several surgeries to try and fix those things that are wrong. He survived surgery, and is now in critical condition in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a local Children's Hospital.

Nathan is struggling for life. Please pray for little Nathan.

A senior at my school committed suicide last night. She appeared to be happy, and it was a complete shock to all of us when we heard the news. Obviously there was much more going on with her than she let on.

Please pray for her, her family, and all of her many friends as they struggle to understand this.

My YoungLife leader, Joe, is going through a tough time. Monday, he recieved a call during lunch. It was his dad telling him that his mom was in the hospital, getting an emergency hysterectomy. He didn't really think anything of it until he got to the hospital. Apparently, she's not doing very well. I don't know all of the details. I talked to him after club. I said, "Is she okay?" and he looked at me, looked away, and said, "You know, she isn't. She really isn't. But she might be."

It's really hard. Hard to find the right words to say. I hope everything ends up being okay. Get as many people as you can to pray for her. I haven't been able to get a hold of my other leader. She talked to him a lot last night. She found out everything. I don't want to intrude though. So, I'll try and keep you guys updated.

My two-year-old foster brother Brad is leaving tomorrow. To go live with his grandma, the mother of the man who used to abuse him (and who also happens to be a drug addict). We'd already decided that if things didn't work out with his mother and he wound up in the system, we'd adopt him. Now we won't have the chance because in my opinion this system is royally screwed up. I'll save you the explanation though.

Anyway, please pray for him and for us. Also, please pray for some miracle that if something bad does happen to him he's allowed to come back with us.

My aunt's lukemia has come back. She starts her second round of chemo Tuesday. My uncle died of lukemia last year, and it's such a hard thing to beat. She doesn't want to come down here for treatment and is really tired and sick. Please pray for her.

My grandmother had another stroke. I think she's getting worse. My dad won't tell me what's going on, but I heard him discussing with his brother over the phone plans of what will happen to her house after she dies and such so it can't be good. Her own mom is in better condition than she is :(
Dire need for a prayer request!

My grandmother is 100 years old. She is of course, in failing health, but stable at the moment. I am still deployed overseas for another week, and I am sooooooo scared something will happen to her before I am able to make it home to see her.

She had made this comment to my mother around new years when my mother told her that once I got home we are going to come and visit her. She replied "I hope I make it that long..." I about died...I don't know what I can do!!!

Good idea. About two months ago 4 teens were screwing around and sped over a railroad track. They lost control and hit a tree. 2 were killed, one hurt badly, and the other walked away. I want to pray for the families to find comfort during the holidays.

Please pray for Ariel Sharon.
Even if you're not a prayer, like myself (usually), please keep him in your thoughts.
