How do you get your team to be quiet?!

When girls are talking on your team, how do you or your captains tell them to stop? We've made them do pushups in the past if someone talks during a "silent practice". What are some other ideas?

Maybe your team feels like they aren't geeting respect from your captains. Sometimes giving everybody a responsibility keeps the team feeling important. Important enough that all your goals are the same. Right now it sounds like they might be feeling like they aren't important to you and giving them punishments can make the situation worst.

Pushups, Pushups, Pushups! And silent practices too. One thing about pushups that stinks is if two girls are talking ove the coach, captins, or someone else ina leading position, the whole team has to do pushups. (Usually 10-20) So our team is pretty quiet. If they aren't they hear about it when practice is over. LOL

Well, Im not a coach but I am an officer. We give out sets , which is 64 kicks. But thats not working so me and the other officers are thinking of changing the kicks to situps.
