If she was doing that arabesque in a dance class, it would be completely correct. And considering she doesn't actually cheer anymore, I don't think she really has to worry about it anyways......

I partially agree with VarsityCleader...
perhaps her squad is super-serious and has a reputation to keep up...I dont think a coach of a University team would want to know about inappropriate myspaces, becuase in a way, her coach might be like a parent..most serious cheerleaders spend much of their week alongside their team and coach.

I dont cheer or anything, but our cheerleaders (here) at university are certainly about strength and endurance and skill, and not about flaunting their looks...and I think they take pride in the fact that cheerleaders are more than cute girls...

Anyways, at the same time, dancersrock just took these pictures on her own time, so there's no need to criticize.

it wasn't meant to offend you, i was just telling you about a past experience.

quite frankly, i don't post pics of me in my bikini, nor my spankies. too exposing in my opinion and it doesn't represent me the way i want to be seen as a cheerleader.

it's your body, show it the way you wish, i just stated my opinion on the matter.

someone said something about a binkini... the difference with that is that a bikini doesn't have your school letters posted clearly on the butt...

What's everyone going on about? Are you people forgetting that the school got the letters put on there, she didn't put them on herself - they're obviously not bothered so what's the big deal? What's inappropriate?..nothing's on show...that's what spankies are for! Should gymnasts not post pictures of themselves in leotards because they're 'too exposing'? The only thing on show in the girl's picture is her legs...shock horror(!) People really need to chill out...what's the world coming to?

elisa, if you ever, EVER advise someone "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anthing at all" don't recite it after you called them an offensive cuss word.

a hypocrit at its best.

hahahaha omg, that is funny! a little worked up there are we? well, maybe you should take your own advice there. "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything nice at all."

i, on the other hand, wasn't being rude. i was simply stating the facts. if i posted a picture on the internet with my school letters stamped on my butt, i would get in trouble, but there's not stopping me from posting pictures of myself in a bikini if i wanted to because they don't have your school letters on them.

if you're caught doing anything "bad" with your school name or letters on it, a lot of schools will punish you. i couldn't go to a party with anything "UCO cheer" for instance.

Zac Brannon from Pro X coaches the SMU cheer squad. he actually got in trouble earlier this year because the school found a picture of him on one of his cheerleader's facebook profile and his shirt said "I Love Boobs." he got in big trouble for that and now he isn't allowed to hang out with his cheerleaders at all and he has to make sure no "embarassing" pictures of him show up on the internet.

so like i said before, i wasn't dissing anyone. i was just stating a fact. i would get in trouble if i took a picture like that, simply put.

(edit) i just looked at the pictures on that girl's avatar. look how young she is. of course she can't have an intelligent argument. i should have realized she must be really young when i read that. so many young kids cuss these days to sound "cool." oh well.

Maybe I should add that I'm not in high school anymore. I actually don't go to school, I'm working. Can't punish someone who isn't a student there, besides I didn't post it for any particular reasons, or to test any 'rules'...

I son't think there's anything wrong with her showing us her cheerleading uniform. She didn't want to deliberately show us her butt(she didn't I know), she just wanted to show us how her uniform looked like, which inclded the spankies. I would show you guys my cheerleading uniform if I was a cheerleader. I don't know the name of her former high school. I just know the letters (HHSS) Any school could have those letters and be the warriors. I also know that anyone in the world has access to these pictures, but the one with her spankies isn't showing anything, and it does cover more than any one of our bikini's ever will.

But don't you find it fun to sometimes try on old costumes/grad(or prom) dresses? I do. Nice pictures and uniform btw!

I think people are forgetting the difference between a provocative picture of someone's butt and a cute and innocent picture showing matching cheer clothes. And any of my dance teachers would murder me if i looked front in my arabesque, I think its uch nicer to look over your arm.

yeah, and that picture of Zac was so provacative. (sarcasm). he's a 25 year old, grown man and didn't think his wearing that shirt was wrong either, but schools are very protective of their reputation. if they think even ONE person will view it as provocative or wrong in any way, they will do what they can to fix it.

and why does everyone keep bringing up the bikini thing? didn't i explain that? or did you guys not understand it? read it again. bikini's don't have your school letters on them.

you're all trying to make this into a personal thing. quit taking it so personally and think about it from a Super-Intendant or Dean's perspective.

I'm sorry people are arguing over Dancers_Rock innocent pictures. She didn't mean any harm and wasn't trying to insult anyone or any school, sheesh. Why don't you just lock your post, I don't want you to have listen to any more catty remarks.

So what if Dancers_Rock posted a picture with her doing some sort of stunt or jump and her spankies(bloomers, what ever you call them.) showed? Would it be a big deal then?

Bahhhh....

love,
DanceDynamic

I'm surprised that they can tell a 25 year old, grown man, what he can and cannot wear, and what he is allowed to show people and what not.

But I'm not familiar with your team or anything, so this is probably normal to anyone on it, but seeing it from an outsiders perspective...it's a little odd.

he's a part of the SMU staff. it's not my school. but as a staff member of Southern METHODIST University, he represents them and is not supposed to represent them badly. like i said, you're taking this all to personally and you got offended. i'm just being logical. i suggest you do the same.
