I'm looking for ideas to use for my 3/4 yr. olds for an informal Christmas performance. Any suggestions for songs or ideas would be much appreciated.

To give you an idea- last year for this age group we just did an extended version of a game we play in class called The Toymaker. In this, the kids make a shape (toys) and freeze while I (the toymaker) am "awake" and dance around while I am asleep. There was no formal choreography. I'd like to do something similar but not the same since some are the same children as last year. Also, keep in mind I have a mix of boys and girls. Thanks!!

THis is kind of the same just a different set up. Jewelry box dancers. The children can hide behind boxes. Teacher pulls out jewelry from each box. When teacher leaves(goes to corner). THe dancers come alive.
Just an idea. I keep thinking!

I start teaching the kids a very simple holiday dance in November, we use the last 5-10 minutes of class. and they show it to thier parents during the last class before vacation. I only do this with my combo classes because the older girls need to work on technique. I think its nice because this is the only chance they get to see them dance before recital and see them learn a dance, once we start recital work I cover the window.
