Just opened a studio September 2005.
We do Ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, character/broadway jazz, modern, lyrical, liturgical, and exercise classes.
I've been teaching since age 17 & I absolutely Love Tap Dance, which I'm beginning to think is not normal cuz everybody wants to be a ballerina Except ME. Even the babies (3-5 year olds) say "mommy I wanna be a ballerina" not "Mommy I wanna be a tap dancer!" - it saddens me
Anyway. I remember my first dance teacher, in fact, she owns a studio 15 miles from mine - and its not the one I went to either! I really only remember her, though because she batted her eyelashes alot when she was smiling. Probably to keep from yelling at us bad kids! & I used to go home and pretend to be her; I would dance around the house smiling and batting my eyelashes!
