I require my dancers to wear shorts, a skort or a skirt and a fairly tight fitting top, but other than that they are free to choose the colours and prints. Currently there seems to be a race on as to who can find a top with the funniest print ... Dancers can choose whether they want to wear tights or socks to class.

We don't have to wear stuff with the school logo but we have to wear snug fitting spandex shorts under our regular shorts for modesty purposes. For shirts it can't bee too skimpy...no spaghetti straps

We don't really have a uniform but we have to wear shorts and a t-shirt. But for teams we are required to wear all black.

We're allowed to wear anything (basically) besides things that nobody's allowed to wear
like t-shirts that come down past your chest or anything, but all schools have that rule.

When I first moved to my dance school, I was told I had to wear the school colors to class, but it turns out that we can wear whatever we want. : D

We are aloud to wear whatever we want. I normally wear a baggy t-shirt (so nobody can see m,y flubb. LOL) and shorts. I never would wear jeans to class so I haven`t actually figured out if we are allowed, I would assume not though

At my school, you have to wear shorts at least 2 hands above the knee (so teachers can make sure that your knees are crossed, ect.) or a skirt, but no one really wears skirts to dance in! We can wear whatever t-shirt we'd like, but most of us choose tank tops or looser shirts (not the skin tight hollister ones!)
Also, most girls novice and up wear poodle socks, but all girls PW and up do. Its not required in the younger levels, so while some do, some just wear ankle socks or fun, knee length socks.

i mean, nothing risque & no jeans, but shorts and a t-shirt are pretty standard. i kind of wish we had a uniform.

My teacher wants us to wear skorts or shorts that come above the knee and a tank top or t-shirt. Most of the time we all wear sports shorts and a feis shirt or school shirt. As for socks, some of us wear poodles, and others wear normal socks. In the winter, I like to wear long knee length mix-matched socks.

We need to wear shorts, and socks cannot be black. We recently were told that we are now only allowed to wear racer back tank tops, so the teachers can see our posture better.
Hair has to be out of our face too, and no necklaces or bracelets can be worn.

but it usually includes shorts/long trousers which are tight enough to see, what has to be seen and a shirt or body.

I don't know about the the kids classes, but the adults have no dress codes. We are even allowed to wear pants. In the winter it gets pretty cold in the room where we dance- it's the party room of an Irish Bar/restaurant- so the instructors are OK with pants. That said, I usually don't wear anything more covering than capris because I get too hot once I start dancing. I will sometimes start MIN lightweight zip front sweatshirt and take it off once I warm up. Same goes for my private lesson, but I'm usually in shorts because it's warmer whet I have those lessons.

On another note about how cold it can be in the class room- sometimes the teachers stay in their winter coats and gloves for the first class until our body heat warms up the room! Yes, there is heat, but the room takes a while to evenings. I think sometimes they forget to close the damper in the fireplace. And yes, we do use that fireplace on the really cold evenings!

My school is really lenient when it comes to our dress code. We do have one, but not everyone follows it exactly as it should be. Our teachers say we should wear black shorts, a black shirt and poodle socks. Usually people just wear any exercise shorts and a shirt that's comfortable to dance in.

it's mostly a bit of B and C, so i just clicked other. I usually wear a large tee shirt and cheer-shorts (Usually Champion or Soffee brand)

my teachers like us to wear leotards, skirts, and tights in the winter. Sometimes we wear shorts though

We have practice uniforms...black shorts, whitel school tee with poodle socks. Usually the little ones can get away without wearing it but not the bigger girls

It depends. (: Our school does have uniform, like a school shirt and school shorts, but the uniform isn't strictly enforced. So I just wear whatever, sometimes the uniform, sometimes not.

We can wear pants, but they need to be cuffed or pinned above the ankle & aren't really a favorite option. Usually all the girls wear soffe shorts & t-shirts or tanks that fit well enough for the TC to evaluate posture. (please, ladies, bras always past age 13 *facepalm*) Poodle socks or whatevs & a lot of girls wear their dance sneaks when nursing an injury, but any other time they're less than desirable. Nothing's really official except to keep your hair up, ankles visible, attire decently modest, & SMILE!
