Wow she is good. I got this off the patriots cheerleaders website. It's one of the 2005 junior cheerleaders. 24 Replies to look at the height.......... |

hehe not to be rude, but that's not really anything spectacular... it's just a tuck jump. |

Sure, it's just a tuck jump...but it looks to me like she's getting pretty high. Maybe about her own chest height when standing! |

I would love to see her toe touch! Dont really like tuck jumps but yeah, it looks like she has good hight. But it can also be the angel it was taken in. Kool picture anyways! |

^^ UNCO with a straddle jump like yours nothing really would seem that great.
But yeah it is just a tuck jump..it's fair high though |

honestly it's not that high either. i bet you guys would probably be surprised to see how high you are in a tuck jump too. when you're actually jumping you don't realize how high off the ground you are when you jump, but then you see it frozen in a picture and you're like "wow, i didn't know i was that high off the ground!" and i don't mean just me. |

oh, but i forgot to say before that that girl's technique is good. i'll give her that. her T motion is placed well and she brought her knees up to her chest, not the other way around.
...and she's wearing the best cheerleading shoes ever haha |

"UNCO with a straddle jump like yours nothing really would seem that great."
not true! there are a lot of things that impress me. i just don't even really consider a tuck jump a real jump. just something you use to learn how to do jumps. but there are lots of people that impress me. i posted pictures of Matt McGrath and that Heather girl. surprisingly there are lots of guys who can jump like me. they've got the strength to jump high and to do hyper-extended jumps you don't need to be flexible because your legs aren't very far apart at all. there aren't as many girls that can jump like that, so when you see that it's even more impressive.
but i even appreciate level or just-above-level toe touches if they have good technique and height. |

That makes sense UCO. And come to think about it she has pulled her legs up, lol. And that makes it looks even higher. Try to imagine the jump with straight legs... |

i need to get a new picture of my toe touch! weather's too cold to take it out back though and i'd feel like a cheer snob bringing a camera to practice just to shoot photos of myself |

i know what you mean. i do too. i did a "how to do a liberty" speech on Powerpoint for our visual aid speech and i was going to get pictures of girls on my squad doing one, but i felt like a dork doing that, so i just got some of the internet instead! haha |

it's really not that unusually high. that's what i've been trying to say. i bet if you took a picture of yourself doing a tuck jump, you'd be just as high. you don't realize how high you are until you see it in a picture. |

^ actually yeah I'd agree with that. Like when I've frozen pics of leaps and jumps before they seem a lot higher in freeze frame than what they look/feel in real life. Even my toe touch looked respectable |

Come on people...its not all the leg lifts we do, pylometric training we do, endless jumps, stretches, or any conditioning exercises at all. It has nothing to do with technique or ability. Its all in the music you choose. Without good music, you are nothing.
Fusion Sound- you don't need talent when you have good music. |
