Corn products and tapioca used to cause cystic acne breakouts on my face within an hour or so of eating. This is not a life-threatening reaction, just a hugely annoying one.

I have discovered that taking balanced (protein, carbohydrate and fat) digestive enzymes I avoid the breakouts altogether.

So now I can eat popcorn again!!! Hooray!!!

But again, if you have had anaphylactic shock reactions to certain foods DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

P.S. I have learned this since my last post on this thread.

Do not look at the person on the outside, it is what counts on the inside!

i had acne that was so bad, my self-esteem was all fuggled up. i used to try to cover as much of my face as i could with my hair, and i would constantly stresst about it which would only make it worse. i went to a number of dermatologists and was banned from eating so many things, including chocolates, mangoes, anything vanilla-based and much more.

the only thing that helped me was a combination of anti-biotics and anti-bacterial facial wash and a perscription drug called Roaccutane. it dried up my skin so much, my hands were peeling. no joke. but it worked wonders and i'm much happier now.

so be sure to go to the right derm-doc. the wrong ones will only charge you outrageous amounts of money and end up making thigns worse, not better.

great post!

blessed be

Great information.

As amoung many other teens. I sturggle with acne, and i hate it. With a passion, but it's part of growing up.

I will take the information you provided, and see what else I can learn from it.

The best way to treat acne isn't with topical treatments. It should be treated through the inside, your vitamin intake.
Here's a site that explains everything about it.

www.bodybuildingforyou.com . . .

You can search for it online too. There should be some websites that provide an amount that you need for acne but ALWAYS ask your doctor about it first. You CAN be poisoned with vitamins and it's not something you should go crazy for. More vitamins isn't necessarily better.

Mine is/was defintely on the worse side (face, chest, back, even on my legs occasionally) . It wasn't like cystic or anything, but it was everywhere. My skin just naturally flushes red very easily (darn genes) and the acne doesn't help. After about 3 years of nothing working (I even went to my doctor). I finally saw a dermatologist! That was the best thing I ever did in my life (maybe a bit over dramatic, but it seriously starts to get to you)! Thanks for the advice, hopefully some people won't have to go through what happened to me because of this.

This was great advice. I had acne when younger and used acutane, it really helped. I also attended the cosmetician regularly for cleaning.

How do you cover acne on your back and face? I know it sounds disgusting but really... Also how do you not pick it? I mean then it is all white and gross?

Thank you for the information. I have been lowering my stress level by stretching and when problems start and I fell like I'm heating up I just take a deep breath and calm down.
