Hey that's a really nice pic, I don't really know much about Physie so would you mind explaining it a bit more? Isn't it similar to calistenics? Well done for getting into the top 15

Hey thanks for your comments and replies!
Firstly whats calistenics?? lol
Physical Culture is uhh well its really hard to explain. Its not like anything else. I always say that you have to watch and see it to know what it is. Its all individual although there is a syllabus for each age group. Its then judge by that.
It includes of Marching (i know i know sounds weird but its different), Warm Up, Breathing and Balance, Excercisers, Relax, Floordrill and then dance.
It requires balance, breathing, flexibility and so on.
Its sooo much fun and you meet so many new friends.

Thanks o0Gab0o xxx

My sisters and I used to do Physical Culture, but then they changed it to Rhythmic Gymnastics and both my sisters competed in interstate comps, but I was never good enough. Recently discovered video taken of my sister competing probably early 80s-ish. Fun music they used back then!
Oh well.
I have tix to see the RG at the Commonwealth Games and am looking forward to it!

Hey o0Gab0o,
I'm also a physie girl in the second years age group. A HUGE congratulations on making it to the opera house, I myself have never gotten that far, but enjoy it netherless. I also didn't go to watch it either this year. May I enquire what state your from and the age group your friend is in ( I would love to know if I competed against her)

My cousin used to do Physi when she was younger, I just remember the fluro leotards and the fake tan and sitting for hours putting her thick hair into tiny little rollers!

She loved it tho.

o0Gab0o... Congrats on making it to the Opera House for Physie... I tried my hand at it once, but it wasn't my thing! I enjoy slightly more faster and upbeat styles of dancing :)

I have a question though! I know how important fake tan is to physie girls... and I was wondering what brand you use! Your tan looks very natural in your photo!! I need to find myself a good fake tan for cheerleading this year, so I'm looking for suggestions :)
