How about you make one thread that's "Atonia's Pics" or something and them you can just keep adding stuff to there? Maybe thats a bad idea, what do you think?

actually she is trapping the ball in this position, its really amazing. The ball is bouncing and after this moment the traps it. Becaue the throw was so high, this is why the ball is in this position...

I know a bunch of people have already told you but maybe if I tell you once more how to do this you'll listen.

Flooding the boards is INCREDIBLY rude!!!!

go to photobucket.com and upload your photos into the an album. Under each photo is a URL when you want to include more than one photo into a post just copy and past the URL and write [image=URL]

This way you can post all the photos you want without making everyone angry.

read above! It's been said at least 3 times that the ball is just simply BOUNCING.

Like when you would throw a ball on the floor and it jumps back in the air... same thing only that in this particular fraction of a second you see the impact of the ball on the floor.

It is NOT flat have you ever seen such a type of ball run flat like that? I never have. Shame I don't have any Berlin videos else I would just make an animated gif of this movement.

In the moment of the impact between the object that gives and the object that receives energy, the object that receives it, will become flat. Even golfballs go completely flat the moment they're hit, and they're much harder. It's, as stated above, a part of the bouncing process, or energy transportion (sp?).

It's hard to believe that the ball is not flat, I want to see the routine for myself. Does anyone know who it is? and which competition?

HOW IS IT THAT HARD TO BELIEVE!?

When an object bounces it flattens out for a moment. Its not majic its just physics!

If it didn't flatten out that would be a ball made a freaking granite and would be way to heavy for a gymnast to throw around..and it would be incredibly painfull to handle.

Didn't I say that there are no routines from Berlin 2005 ???

Jennifer Colino SPA 2005 Berlin Ball - Guillermo has no videos on his website from this competition.

And in the most recent video of Jenny that I could find she doesn't do this move so bad luck can't make a gif from it.

And forgive my rudeness here but it is rather foolish to believe the ball would be flat. Why would she be continuing her routine when the ball is flat? And no the ball can't just "jump" flat in a second it's not a balloon it's a ball.

no offense but a lot of people on this board are really rude, what if this person asking doesnt know anything about RG and your just telling them to read, it is something different for people to see, that don't really know the sport(Y)

no offence taken. We aren't rude, we are just tierd of people not reading through things and asking questions that are already answered.
I speak for a lot of people when I say we are sick of this board being flooded with pointless picture posts but the people who do it are so immature. They ignore it and don't give a second thought to any of our requests.
We just want an intelligent, thoughtful rg board.
At the moment, its a "cool how flexible, is that called a ribbon" board.

maybe you should ask one of the control people, to maybe put a limit on how many pitcutre you can post a month... that might solve the problem....

OK, to finish this question off. I was there in Berlin and I promise the ball was at no moment falt at all, except when it was bouncing. esther had the talent to get the moment the ball was abolutely deformed against the floor falling from a high throw of Jenny.

I'll put the video online today for you to watch it.
