My creative ballet class this year has a butterfly costume. Well it has wings, I thought about doing the song "Butterfly" by Mariah Carey, does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!

Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlile. It's a pretty song but I know that is has been overplayed at a time. I do like Butterfly by Mariah Carey. I did a lyrical solo dance to that song. I've used a very cute piece called "Love is Like a Butterfly" by Dolly Parton - it's not country sounding - extremely precious song - perfect timing for a recital piece too...

i don't remember the name of the song you can prob. google the lyrics. *clears throat* "you're my butterfly sugga" i don't know if it would be kid friendly though...but just a suggestion. It would definetely (sp?) be a little risky...

I know that song and not being mean but it's definetly not for children of any age.

Delta Goodrem (An Aussie singer in case you don't know her) has a really pretty song called Butterfly. At her concert, she had a little girl dressed as a butterfly dancing with her -- it was so cute.

This song might be good because it's slightly on the obscure side, so not everyone will have heard it a million times.

We used "I'm a Lonesome Little Butterfly" last year. It's on the Ballet for Little Ones cd from hoctor or kimbo. Great choice for a song and dance routine. It was very easy for my little ones to follow. Sometimes the more contemporary tunes are more difficult for the younger bunch.

"Butterfly kisses" is a wonderful song about a man and his daughter.

Can you tell me where to get that one? Also, just a great music SOURCE.....I know good stuff when I hear it, but have a hard time finding it. I am an independent teacher with just 5 classes, but I do a "real" recital at Christmas and spring, costumes and everything. Small budget -- any music I buy, I like to be able to use several songs off of the cd.
