Hey everyone!

I'm taking a gap year from July, and really want to do something useful. I've always really been into Textiles, and have been designing costumes for YEARRRS! So I figured I'd like to start making them. So, please answer my survey!

1. How old are you and are you female or male?
2. Do you usually have your costume designed especially for you?
3. How much is the most you would pay for a costume?
4. How much on average do you pay for costumes?
5. How long would you keep a costume for?
6. Do you mind wearing second-hand costumes?
7. Do you ever self-decorate your costume?
8. Would you only buy a costume from a renowned designer?
9. Do you usually go for a style/colour and stick to it with the rest of your costumes?
10. Do you see the same people and judges at each competition, or are they always different?
11. What do you usually wear for practice?
12. Do you have a skating partner?

Thanks a bunch in advance!!! ;)

2. Do you usually have your costume designed especially for you? no, I'm only a No-Test/Pre-Preliminary skater
3. How much is the most you would pay for a costume? Not reall sure how much I would pay but the most I (well my mother) ever paid was $90

4. How much on average do you pay for costumes?
$500
5. How long would you keep a costume for?
One competitive season, so usually 9 months

No way, you've got to show some variety

1. How old are you and are you female or male?
16 and Female.
2. Do you usually have your costume designed especially for you?
For singles, I am only in preliminary right now, so no. Maybe when I test up to Juve *fingers crossed*. However, my synchronized skating team's dresses are custom-designed (if not custom fit... we had a bit of a fiasco with that this year)
3. How much is the most you would pay for a costume?
At my current level, for an amazing costume... $200. If I get to be a serious competitor at a higher level, I am sure I would end up paying quite a bit more.
4. How much on average do you pay for costumes?
For testing/competition, $150
5. How long would you keep a costume for?
I wear them as long as they fit me!
6. Do you mind wearing second-hand costumes?
Not if it looks good and is in like-new condition. If I can tell it's second hand, I would only buy it if it were much much cheaper than new.
7. Do you ever self-decorate your costume?
My synchro team beaded our own dresses this year. When I get a dress for competition, I will probably bead it myself. BTW- when I say bead, I mean glue on rhinestones!
8. Would you only buy a costume from a renowned designer?
I would judge based on the quality of the dress.
9. Do you usually go for a style/colour and stick to it with the rest of your costumes?
No. I pick what's flattering, but various styles. That would be way too boring!
10. Do you see the same people and judges at each competition, or are they always different?
At a local basic skills competition, most everybody will be familiar. If it's larger, then there will be many people from out of your area.
11. What do you usually wear for practice?
Danskin footed and Mondor OTB tights, a skirt, and a tight-fitting sport or dance type shirt. I usually wear black- I think it looks more professional ^.o
12. Do you have a skating partner?
Yes, for dance. However, he's only a quarter inch taller than I am, so we will not be competing.
Also, I have my synchro team of sixteen other girls!
