Hi Kiltie143 -- you will find a photo of a highland outfit in the Hannay Modern tartan under "Highland for Sale" page 8 dated July 7th. Attempted to post photo here for you but no luck.

This link

2005.chgmedia.co.uk . . .

will take you on a tour of numerous dress tartans that were categorized by color in Highland Lassie's original post on page one of the compendium. Those links are no longer working but can be viewed here at Cowal Media 2005 under "Dancing"
If you are familiar with the general look of the tartan you will see your tartan swatches in action.
A do-it-yourself- tartan search ;)
Or you can add a link to a photo here and we can help you out with the name of your favorite tartan!

I'll post this here too.

The reason the links aren't working right now is because they were on the old image server that died. Andrew is aware of the problem and will eventually get around to fixing the problem. It just might take awhile.

This is amazing. The work that has gone into this thread. Unfortunately, I don't see the tartan Dress Glenmore made up into an outfit. Does anyone have a photo of it?

The Dress Glenmore tartan from Jockeygirl's post :)

I realize Scottiemama you are hoping to see a full highland outfit -- it may be you posting a photo soon!
Jockeygirl's photo is a super closeup and gives a good idea of the sett made up into a kilt. Several years ago I remember a dancer wearing this tartan and if my memory is accurate :? the dancer was dark blonde and wore kind of a muted green/brownish waistcoat with gold braid and buttons.

Scottiemama

My suggestion would be one of the greens on the left shown in this link (second from the left would be my choice) www.bentneedledesigns.net . . .

with gold trim.

But maybe a nice chocolate brown might work too.
