I know in gymnastics there is often a lot of fear of doing new and more difficult skills. i was just wondering what people do about their fear and how they get over it.

I always use a thick mat and have a spotter until I am really comfortable that I can do it. My teachers are always really good and I have never injured myself. There is this kid in my class though that just leaps into all her tricks, I am always like wow!!!

I just do it. If i get hurt to bad, at least i got hurt doing something cool. That and my coach bearly gives spots. So its a do it yourself or not at all kind of thing.

im not scared of anything (berlin) i was just wondering because some people on my team get so scared of one thing and it holds them back

For me, it just takes time, and it kind of matters what mood I'm in. Somedays I'm braver than others, in a kind of 'throw-it' mood. But sometimes, I'm not so brave which gets me annoyed. Usually, those days aren't good, lol.
