On the very first page, Aricebo posted that she likes the name Haruka. This made me laugh because in Finnish, haarukka means fork (like the silverware). |

I cant help wanting to post even though i'm YEARS away from even thinking about starting a family, but hey..
For a girl I love the name Honey I think it's unusual but not so much that it's weird if you see what I mean. I also like Cora for the same reasons. I like nice, simple names, so even though by the time I'm having kids I'll most likely have completely new ideas, those are my two girl names for now.
For a boy - and I'll admit this has a little something to do with my Westlife obsession - I like Kian I have quite a bit of irish blood in me and I think this is a really nice name & it could be shortened to 'Kie' (pron. 'KEE') - I like how boys called Kieran get called Kie for short, but I'm not keen on Kieran. & My other boy name is Milo.
& this is my unusual one and I doubt I'd ever give my child this name but I really like the french name 'Xavier' maybe if i ever married a french man... LOL

My first name is Jennifer. At one point of my primary education years, I was friends with 3 other Jen's. Due to how non-crazy I was for having such a popular name growing up, I made sure my daughter's name was unique yet easy to spell and could be shortened/abbreviated very easily with any possibly picking opps. From there, I named her middle name the same as mine, since I wanted her to have at least part of my name.
Thanks for the Behind the Name link. My daughter loves almost everything anime, manga, and Japanese. She even wants to move to Toyko.

I am nowhere near ready to have kids yet, but I already have my options picked.. and I highly doubt they will change because I have liked these names since I was like 12.. lol
Girls:
Addison Elizabeth (Elizabeth is my middle name)
Ella Grace (I just like it)
Reese Lorraine (Lorraine is my mom and sister's middle name)
Jayla Margaret (Margaret is my maternal grandmother, Margo is my paternal grandmother, so it works with both sides of the family)
Baylee Lorraine
Isla Elizabeth (pronounced IY-la)
Leighton Alexandra (after my brother Alexander)
Boys:
Mason John (after my late uncle)
Logan Theodore (Theodore is my grandpa who passed away last year)

Hayden James (James is my father)
Cole Norman (Norman is my other grandfather)
As long as I can convince my future husband, I should be good to go |

Well i'm not ready for babies just yet but my best friend is due in Feb and it got me thinking about names.
If I have a girl my favourite name is Isla Elsie (Isla because it's just beautiful and Elsie as a middle name because it's my boyfriends great aunts name and she died just two months after I met her and she was a lovely lady).
If I have a boy, Logan Joshua. I just love it. No idea why.
Other names I like are Lola and Elise, boys Sonny or Finn/Finley.
I love post like this it's really interesting to see what other people think |

Ha, I think it's hysterical to look back at some of the weird names I liked. Sunny...seriously? Thank god I wasn't a teenage mom. I still like most of the girl's names I've posted, but Isabel/Isabelle/Isabella is like number two on the top baby names, so that's not happening. I like the name Isolde instead, but my future partner might hate it, who knows? My yoga teacher's daughter is named Shay, I think that's cute. The only thing that I know won't change is my dislike of A.) Jaylen, Kaylen, Kayson, Kaden, Braeson, etc names. Mixing random sounds together does not make a cute name. B.) That being said, I dislike common names. Lauren, Amanda, Matthew, John, etc are perfectly acceptable names, much better than Jayden/Kaylen/etc, but I hated being one of three Kaylas. On that note, with all the weird things people are naming their kids, you're probably pretty safe if you stick to tradition
So, all I can tell you is that when I someday have kids, they will have uncommon names, but the names will be real and properly spelled. |

for girls:
Kara

Evelyn
for boys:

My sister likes several of those as well, so we always joke about racing to have kids first just so we can claim the names! |

That was my ex boyfriend/love of my thought he was my future husband's favorite name. So, I'm a little bitter towards that name now lol. But I have to say, up until we broke up I loved it. |

those are great examples.... when we picked out a name for our boys we were very cognicent of the initials... for examples Alex Samuel Smith would not be good initials to give your son..... good luck picking out names! |
