FWIW, folks, the videos start and stop because they're not fully loaded. When the video comes, as soon as you see the actual picture come on screen and the video's starting, hit "pause" until the video's almost fully loaded. You can see the amount it's loaded by looking at the little bar that the progress marker is on--it turns dark gray as it's loading. When the line's almost all gray, play away! It'll finish loading while you're playing it (or you can wait until it's fully loaded, if it's a slow loader).

hey,
I don't know anybody in these vedios but i think its really cool that you put all the videos together. It is really a lot easier than searching all day on youtubes.
Thanks... it must of been quite a bit of work

Well, it's not highland dancing exactly, but there's a funny video of Cary Grant trying to do an Eightsome Reel (he's supposed to do a highland setting step when he goes in the middle -- you see someone else doing balance and pas-de-basque (coupe setting in country dance). :)

There is a lovely Cake Walk on Youtube at the moment.
Heres a link
youtube.com . . .
It starts about 3 mins in.
I don't know who it is, but feel that if they have posted it, they can't really mind it being posted on here.

Anybody have or know of a Lilt video anywhere?

I haven't seen one of the Lilt anywhere, and I've perused pretty much all of Youtube for Highland videos.

If you tell me the steps you want, I can make one for you though...I know how frustrating it can be trying to learn with no visuals.

Found one, thanks.

I sort of have visuals...but the girl who's currently teaching it to me isn't 100% thorough so I want to make sure i have it right!

These dancers are from Westhill in Aberdeen Scotland, their dance teacher is Pam Dignan.

Did anyone see all the clips from the New River Valley group? Does anyone know where they are from? I know where the New River is however I didn't know there was a dance school there. Is this Virginia, West Virginia...??? Anyone know?
