I recently applied for a drill team coach position and I want to make sure that I make a good impression at the interview. What kind of things can I expect them to ask and what can I do and say to make my chances of getting the job better? I really want this job. Thanks

Was it with a school or a studio? I coach at a h.s. & teach at my studio.
Well at the school, they asked me how many hours a week I would coach. I do tues. wed. & fri from 3:30-5:30. Not including games. They asked me how long I have taught, and have I ever taught the h.s. age group?
What makes you a good coach? I said strict guidelines, dedication and pride for your squad.
They gave me sernarios like: how would you approch a complaining parent?
What would you do if a squad member asked you a personal question, ie: sex, drugs things like that.
What you personal policys as a coach are, ie: if someone quits the squad, fundraisers, dance team booster club, things like that.
Make sure you talk a lot, sound like everything you say, you can back up, lol. Cause they dont want to hire a passive coach. They want someone who can sucesfully run a squad with a strong arm.
If you do get the job im me, I have sooo many things I wish I could of gone back and changed, if someone would have helped me my first year. I have composed a list of policys that are great for someone who needs a helping hand.
I wish I had a person to have told me all about costumes, fundraisers, good companys to work with, and bad ones. And the best places to get everything you will need, lol. Good Luck!!!! Janel.
