My name is Stephani and I am new to dance.net. I live in a suburb outside of St. Louis, and am working on opening my own studio. I am so excited! I have danced since I was 5 and recieved my bachelor's degree in dance. I tried a few different jobs that had nothing to do with dance...this made me realize my great passion for dance and education. I am also very addicted to fitness; I just recently took my group certification exam and hope to also offer that at my studio.

I have always taken ballet, jazz, tap, acro, and got into modern when I went to college. I had actually planned to audition a lot after I graduated, but the last semester of my senior year I suffered a knee injury that put me out of everything for almost a year. Needless to say my knee will never be the same. I suppose that was supposed to happen because it allowed me to realize my love for teaching.

I do remember my first teacher, in fact I still talk to her. She has been a big help in giving me advice in opening my studio. She was a fabulous teacher and I want to mirror many of the things she did.

I first became drawn to dance.net from reading all of these posts. It is interesting to hear about other teachers out there.
