Bubble, how much do you pay for each class? I think I would go bankrupt if I take that many...
Haha... 20 bux for the SDT class
35 bucks for Latin Ballroom.
I believe my teachers would prefer me not to disclose for my ballet class =X
Haha but on the overall, its quite cheap for me =X...
do you work to support for your dance classes? thats a lot. 10 dance classes!
haha, I need to work HARD =X dance-wise. lol
My classes are affordable... those nice teachers don't charge for extra classes =X Love them to bits!

Wow, brandon, u're improving! i can see ur passion so strong! i've done pas de deux before in australian ballet sch.
a little bit, just a feel of pas de deux.
we did some, pas courus, promenades and some jumps. i felt likei'm flying la! damn damn damn cool!
i cant find places that teaches pas de deux. i would love to learn properly since it is like a must must in ballet!
hmm, i think we shld organise some gathering for all the dancers in singapore!
Great idea Giselle, but hmm, there will be so so so SO many more girls than guys.. haha...
Anyway!, I've one more to add! I'm gonna take up pointe class on sunday! lala... finally I'm dancing 7 days a week =X
haha. i also wanna do pointe=)
Wow, you're so packed! pointe? this is interesting! hmm... i haven't seen guys on pointe yet! cool! is it a pure pointe class or wad? where is it? I'm looking for more classes! i want to do exams for RAD but i cant find a suitable one as yet. i like ms ong, she's so nice and a great teacher but tampinese is really too far!
Eh i'm surprised they let a guy do pointe???? Anyway watever u all organising, can u all pls pls pls try to make it in July -Sept? Cos i wanna join in too! I'm going back in July yeps. But i guess it's rather a long time,so i suppose just go ahead
Haha, its a pure pointe class at Kg Chai Chee. Qookie's teacher in fact. That'd be Bedok anyway... lol, 6 minutes from Tampines, I don't think that'd be any nearer for you, where do you live anyway?
And Whee, yes I'm packed! Dancing every single day... lol I hope my body can handle it...
Sigh, I'm in a dilemma though. Ms Sharon's Friday Class clashes with my Modern Dance class... Which should I attend? Can someone suggest something?
So here's the situation:
Ms Sharon's Friday class is a killer class, I really appreciate all that hard pushing though. Its quite good technically.
Modern Dance is really recreational, I have lots of fun there, but I don't quite improve there at all. So its one day where I let go and dance my heart out, without having to worry about syllabus or technique.
Which class should I attend? I don't want my dance life to be so static, neither do I want to just dance at my level and not improve... Its so confusing! How?!

Bubblebran, you should really consider going into a professional dance programme if you seriously want to improve. Taking many classes is good, but it does not give you the full spectrum of dance training.
A professional dance programme will cover dance technical training, repertory work, body-conditioning, pas de deux, choreography, improvisation etc and the teachers will be able to monitor your progress and push you further in a more effective way.

Hmm, any recommendations?
Actually for now, I'm waiting for my NS enlistment, so, I don't know what I should do either. I'm a bit lost, maybe I do need a full introduction to the dance world or something like that...
Hey, go and talk to the professionals! Speak to the SDT dancers, call NAFA and LaSalle to find out more about their dance programme or call National Arts Council to see if they can give you more insight.
Ahh, okay... haha I actually dreaddd making calls like these unless I really really have to... is there any peer here who can tell me what I'd expect to hear from them? =X

If you want something then you have to do it yourself. Just some friendly advice.

Bubblebran, try the NAFA access course for dance as i was telling u about on msn. If i'm not wrong they have ballet, modern and folk. Each course is twice a week and it lasts for a year. u can do it even while u're in ns provided u're not an officer cos the classes are in the evening. Actually i really wanted to do it but i'm overseas so can't. For the rest of u reading this,i think (may be wrong) it's a good opportunity if u're thinking of taking dance seriously cos it's actually a course that leads on to the diploma course. The diploma course is a fulltime course which is hardcore and probably suitable only for fanatics like Bubblebran. I thought of doing the access course but not the fulltime one.
