I think it's so cool that a former principal dancer has been teaching here for so long. R

Yeah I heard that she left La-Salle. I think the Singapore audience has under-appreciated her. She's leaving for good?

well, during my audition.. we took ballet and contemp class with the lasalle foundation students. so it can be quite a pressure, but just focus and you'll be ok.
there was this guy who danced with the beijing institute auditioning and some other foreign students.. they were good..
however, i dont really know what you audition will be like.. so all the best to you! just remember dont be scared and loosen up during contemp.

hey you could take a train to aljunied, and take 158 from the same side of road as the station. You'll alight right outside the building. It's about one or two stops after the School for the Deaf. All the best!! =)

Heyhey, I live just 5 min walk away from that place! Anyways, u can take bus no 14 from Tanah Merah (or Bedok, can't remb! pls check)bus interchange all the way there. Alight when u reach Mountbatten swimming complex at the junction of Mountbatten road and Fort road. Alternatively u can count 5 stops from Katong shopping centre. Then walk in the direction of the swimming pool. Or u can take 15 (it goes to Tampines) to Marine Parade and change to 196. Alight at the same stop as the 14 bus stop. If coming from Orchard take 14 though the direction will be opposite from if u're coming from Tanah Merah. Or u can take mrt n drop off at Kallang. Then take 12. Basically 12,14,196 and 608 all go to Laselle. Let me know if u've anymore queries. Hope this helps!

Look no further, Join modern dance!
I'm in it myself and I think its a really great class to really dance, since that's what you want. Its somewhat a half-half of ballet and contemp, and its still in the pretty beginner stages of the class, you shouldn't have any problem catching up, and neither would you find it boring, because its still quite fun nonetheless... and the instructor (Dan Kwoh if you know who) is a really nice guy.
If you want more info you can add me on msn ( o_brandon_o@hotmail.com ) or pm me... =)
haha =X Just trying to 'sell' my class a little..., do hope people join though.

Yups. A cab would solve all your woes! but most cab drivers don't know where La Salle is! So yups. Do be careful. And don't ever take bus 16 if you have to. Take 14. I got lost taking 16 and had to take a cab, where the driver thought i referred La Salle as Laksa and didn't know how to get there.

haha, its usually only 1 hour, but he extends them almost every lesson.. like 15 minutes more at least.
Its 2 hours this time because he was otherwise held up so the last lesson was cancelled, so its like a replacement class...
I'll be looking forward to see you next friday though its a pretty small class and I'm the only guy there so you'll definitely know who I am =P

Hey all, I got in! =)
Though I messed up quite abit during the auditions though, my weight was all over the place... too nervous I guess... totally freaked out on one of the enchainments... 2 pose pirouettes , 2 chaines, repeat all the way.. I kinda went off the path and I was dizzy after all that ... =( oh well, guess I managed to bluff my way thru, grand allegro was nice and fun =) Ms Tucker sets some pretty good enchainments, but alot of advance steps that I've only seen once or twice.. had to do many of them impromptu =(
Finally,
Thanks to those who've been giving me constant support!
