do you know anyone that teaches gymnastics? or two people who knows the proper way to spot a backhandspring. I would strongly recomend you get 2 knowledgable people that are strong (phsyically) to even try one on the ground, reguardless of if you have a mat or not. plus, i must admit, on the trampoline is TOTALLY different than on the ground. i got my backhandspring on the trampoline about a year or two before i did it on the ground with out spots.

Good luck, i hope i helped!

I found moving from the trampoline to the ground quite easy. In fact after mastering it on the trampoline I found the ground easier than the tramp because you have something much more solid to push off.

First of all if you back handspring are not 100% solid on the tramp just keep practising them on the tramp. As many as you can. If you have a tramp at home do it every day.

Checklist

1. Make sure you are pushing back and not up, have a long low bhs instead of a high one. If it is too high it will be dangerous to do on the ground.

2. Make sure you are locking your arms out straight and not bending them.

3. Make sure you are keeping your arms to your ears the whole time.

4. Make sure you are keeping your head straight not looking to one side.

Once you are very confident you will need someone to spot you for the first time on the ground. You can probably do it but there is no garentee that you wont freak out and hurt yourself.

well a good way could be to do a crab from lying down and flip over.

-do a crab from lying down and then try and flip over. use one leg after the other to begin and also keep your legs further from your body. when it gets easier move your legs nearer to your body so you get an extra spring

then do a crab from lying down, flip one leg to the top centre, and st, and then bring other leg levl and flip back with both legs

then try flipping back with both.

then start the crab from standing. practise so that you get the standing crab good and then flip again using one leg after the other. end crouching until you get the balance and then try ending standing with legs st

then you try , crab, one leg up st, and then move other leg level with that one and flip with both legs from the centre top .

once youve got that you can do the 2 legs together. it should be easy then

hope this helps
