Hey guys,
This is the basic script for the first scene. Any corrections you think should be made? Juz tell me then i can revise the script and we can start rehearsals on this scene.

<b> Act 1 Scene 1 </b>

Song – Pray I make it/Hard Work
Scene – Corridor/Lockers
Positions – Jose Vegas and Nick Piazza on Stage Right leaning on lockers. Carmen Diaz and Tyrone Jackson on Stage Left.

Carmen: (Flirty) Ooh Tyrone, we are gonna be AMAZING this year!
Tyrone: Yeah… (Confidently) With my dance moves and yours combined?! We’re gonna rock this school! (Moves closer to Carmen) And who knows what else might happen?
Carmen: (Grinning) Who knows… (Wraps arms around Tyrone)

Spotlight moves to Jose and Nick while Tyrone and Carmen continue to flirt with each other.

Jose: Ooh mama! She is on hottie! If only I could get my hands on those hot…
Nick: (Interrupting) I don’t even wanna know! Anyway, exactly WHOM are we referring to?
Jose: Carmen Diaz! Duh!
Nick: (Rolling eyes) You are so perverted sometimes!
Jose: Come on man! (Moves his hand in the shape of a woman’s body) Look at her body! Those hips! The legs… And oh yes! Who can forget? Her butt!
Nick: Right right right… I get the point already. But you’re forgetting one important thing.
Jose: What?
Nick: Tyrone Jackson.

Serena Katz walks in from stage right and notices Nick.

Serena: (Giggly schoolgirl tone) Nick! Hi! (Giggles)
Nick: (Reluctantly smiles) Oh, hi Serena!
Serena: (Excitedly) I can’t wait for our classes to start! I think you’re an amazing Actor! I’ve seen all the commercials you’ve done! You look so good in them!
Nick: Um… Yeah…
Serena: Anyway, I’ll see you later!

Serena walks behind lockers on stage right and exits.

Nick: Jeez! I hated those commercials! Everyone just HAS to mention them!
Jose: (Shrugs) I don’t know why you’re complaining. Those commercials sure helped to get you attention from all those chicks.

Bell rings.


Nick: Not everything has to do with girls.
Jose: Yeah… Whatever…

Miss Sherman appears on top staircase.

Miss Sherman: Come on students! You don’t want to be late for your classes! Hurry up!

All exit the stage.
