What are your best memories from Poms/Dance team?

Mine is when I was in Performing Poms at my elementary school (4th & 5th grade) We had these cute cheerleading type uniforms plus we had shows. We had 2 differnt winter shows (1 ech year) and then a disney show 1 yr and another show the other yr. It was so much fun! We performed at the local mall and stuff! We also peformed at like nursing homes and for the whole school. Just imagine, assemblies with the whole school, the only event being the Poms performance! lol! It was so much fun and I wish I still could be in it.

My favorite memory is homecoming 2002... we danced at the beginning of the football game, and it was a kickline rutine.. and the ground was all wet and we have to kick and all the cheerleaders were standing around us at the side line. and we kicked water and mud all over them.. it was great.

LOL Missa (if you don't get.. it is one of those you had to of been there thing s)

well, this is still my first year on dance team but so far I've had many good experiences! The ones that stick out most in my mind though is the mornings where our practice was supposed to be out on the track so we could practice with all our formations and stuff for upcoming games. I live in Washington, so naturally, it is not unusual for it to rain here. We would be dancing out there at 6AM in the pouring down rain. If there were puddles, we would dance through them. And parts where we lie down in the dance, we would have to lie down in them. It was awful when we used poms because our poms would end up getting absolutely drenched and water would fly all over the place and after practice everyone looked like they took a shower with their clothes on. :D I actually thought those practices were the funnest because I love dancing in the rain. As long as I didn't get too dirty I would be alright. Dance team is great!

haha! i think a lot of our good memories have to do with muddy football fields! Our homecoming 2001 routine had a part where we did a toe-touch and landed down and made that v with our legs and laid down, then we rolled over and did some other ground work and the night before and that morning, it was pouring!!! it was horrible!! and the whole time we were just cracking up laughing cuz we're all like rolling around in the mud and we had on these black outfits with silver pinstripes on the top cuz we did britney spears-satisfaction- and our outfits looked brown instead of black when we were done!!! and it was funny because when we were done, the announcer was like give it up for the poms because the football players aren't the only ones who have to play in the mud!! it was fun and everyone was pretty light-hearted about it so we all just had a good time :)

I remember last year when we went to the state competition. It had been a tough week and we were all nervous when we got out on the floor. For some reason, we all nailed the routine, and most of us were crying when we got off because we were so happy. It was the best feeling when they called our names for 2nd place. I was so excited!!
