so we had tryouts last week and about 18 girls tried out which is awesome, but everyone made it which isnt a bad thing but one of the problems we had with the show was people were always missing so we constantly had holes and one of the girls had two 50s and a 60 on her report card that shes had all year and another girl has to be retained next year due to conduct and she still made it another girl didnt turn in any of her paperwork and or director said u wouldnt make it without paperwork! another girl did the caddette guard in winter and she has no capability of doing guard, our instructor had to take 45 minutes out of rehearsal to work with her on one of the most basic moves in our routine and she didnt even know half of the tryout dance she just stopped in the middle and stared at the judges and she still made it! wut was the point of tryouts if anyone can just join? sry but some of this made me mad!

my middleschool guard was like that. I hated it. I think it's mainly so they don't think they are 'discriminating' against the people who try out. it really brings the guard down though. I can feel your pain. but the guard I'm on now is much tougher.
