Hey guys! Just wondering, when does your Dance Team start. Mine starts in October I think. I just wanted to compare with other people, because I think ours starts a little late.

We've already had some bonding activities. We have camp starting Thursday of this week. And then we will start ahving regular practices. I'm not sure how often. But we start performing at football games in September.

See, our Team doesn't dance at football games, only at basketball games. I really wish we would have summer practices or workouts though. I'm thinking about suggesting it to my Coach. She also said that this year we are going to enter a couple competitions, but they are in November and December. If we start practices in October, and the first competition is in November, then that's not a lot of time to practice.

Mine starts on wednesday but its only conditioning for the summer. we usualy start a couple days after school starts usually at the begining of september.

Ours never stops! The officers work in June and the whole team works in July. School starts on August 10 and we have practice each morning from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM. August through early November is football season, late Nov. through December we work on and hold a fall show, January through March is competition season, and April and May we work on and present Spring Show! Then the cycle starts all over!

Okay we start in October with tryouts. Then we go all the way 'til we get back from camp in August.

we had try-outs in may, and our summer practices for camp start july 20. we usually end with basketball season but this year we had a competition in april so it was basically a year round thing.

we're all year round. we do basketball and football season, and other performances. In the summer we do NDA camp for a week and band camp from like 8 am to 4 pm for a couple of weeks and we have practices all year round at least 2 days a week. we also compete at random times

Our tryouts are in Mid-March. We start practicing in Mid-June. We don't condition or anything though, they are "all-out" practices, learning routines and all. The practices aren't mandatory until August, but I don't think anyone has missed practice yet. If you miss, then you're behind, so it would kinda suck to miss it. Then, our season lasts until Late-Feb. to Early-March.

We have try outs in late september or early october. Then we practice, compete, and go to camp! Our seaso is over when we get back from UDA camp. (Late july or early august.)

WHEEE!!! CAMP IS IN 11 DAYS!!!

Our season really doesn't stop. We have try-outs mid-march, and we started practicing in April. In June we had practice about 4 days a week for 3 hours. We also do bonding activities to help our team get closer over the summer. July we focus on conditioning, and August we start practices again, 4 days a week. When school starts (In September) we have practice 5 days a week for 3 hours. Our season lasts until Mid-February, and then we start all over again. Even if you don't start your season until October, try to get your team together and do fun activities. It really breaks the ice, and everyone gets to know eachother better.

We have tryouts in April, then a golf tournament fundraiser for camp in May, then we go to camp. We are off for a majority of the summer, but we start practices in a week(August 7) We work on halftime routines for football games, as well as our state competetion routine. Then after football/state is over, we work on basketball routines, and we have a mini-performance in the spring!

We are a little different because we are an all star team. Our tryouts are the first week of the school year in august and practice starts right away. Only once a week though. Since our biggest competition is in July, we work a lot more on technique during winter months, with a few competitions in feb and march. Once summer break starts, we practice everyday from 8 to 1 perfecting and polishing routines that we take to nationals. It sounds like a lot but when it is your best friends, you really dont mind. I have a blast!!
