My knee injury: a rant and a question  en>fr fr>en

While studying/training with a very prestigious company, finally reaching my peek as a ballet dancer at a pretty late age (26), and just becoming comfortable on this new planet, a.k.a, the ballet world, I blew out my knee. I have done it before and thought that I could do the whole R.I.C.E thing, which I did in the past, but this time was different. After three weeks of rest I tried to go back to class and was in a lot of pain. I decided to lay off dance again and tried to walk around the local park. After a half a mile I was limping! I am currently not exercising in any sort of way and feel terrible! End of rant.

Now for advice. I need to get back in to ballet. I cannot do corporate america! I want to know if anyone knew of any specialist in the Los Angeles area that would not heal my knee as an everday person, but as a serious, mature, ballet dancer. Please don't try to discourage me from the dance game. I really would not appreciate that. I've decided my path already.
BTW, I read Sassydancer1 comment on starting pointe at age 30. Very inspiring, such a positive outlook. I wish I would have read it before I joined my pre-professional program.
Thanks for reading.
