I saw this movie with my best friend/duo partner Ricky last night. I absolutely LOVED this movie! The dancing was great and the storyline was unique.

Anyone? What'd you think?

p.s.- I heard some non-dancers say this movie was just like Save The Last Dance. Guess what? They're WRONG!!

I'm glad to hear that it's not just like Save the Last Dance. I'm still planning to see it anyway, but it's nice that they could figure out another storyline.

i loved that movie, i took some non-dance friends to go see it, and they loved it too, we especially loved it because it was filmed in our hometown-baltimore, maryland.

it was soo funny we were in virginia coming back from vacation when we saw it, we were sitting in the back quietly saying we knew where pretty much everything was, and could practically give directions on how to get to most of those places.

I'm one of those people who thinks it's like Save the Last Dance. Almost in reverse, though. Like the guy ends up wanting to get into the school so the girl helps him. Same as Derek giving Sarah hip-hop lessons that help her with the routine in her auditions. Both Tyler and Sarah get into the schools they wanted to. But it was a good movie and I think more movies with dancing are starting to become popular.

I loved it!!! I went to see it with some of my closest non-dancer friends (I was the one who got to pick the movie) and they loved it too! Its nice to see dance movies coming out. I get so excited when I see commercials for them!

Did anyone notice that Nora (the main character) was also in Take the Lead? And now she's supposed to be in The Grudge 2.... This must've been like her big break or something!

She was in take the lead? I'm buying that this week, so I'll look for her, that was a good movie.
Step Up and Save the Last Dance are totally different. Different Dance Styles completely. I liked Save the Last Dance, I LOVE Step Up. The music choices are much better, the choreography is awesome, the story line is very different than I expected but still good.

I absolutely loved this movie! The ending dance was amazing! Also, Channing Tatum (who plays Tyler Gage) is extremely hott and talented. Jana Dewan is excellent too, I noticed she's also in Take The Lead.

Oh, I really loved Step Up, loved the dance moves and the songs in the movie.

Also especially like the Senior Showcase.

I absolutely love that movie!!!

Brief summary for people who didn't see it:
It's great movie for both dancers and non dancers everyone can appreciate it. It's based in modern times and has carachters from lots of different back grounds. It shows the beauty of dance but also how much hard work is needed to create that beauty.

I love the way it fits into lots of different themes; Romance, comedy, Dance!!

I would relly recommend seeing it

Enjoy!
