I live in the UK and I want to know the answers so some questions that have been bugging me for quite a while.

1. What the hell is HOMECOMING ?
2. Is school like Saved by the Bell ?
3. What british tv shows do you guys watch ?
4. Is it uncool to be in band ?
5. What is a pep rally like ?
6. Does everyone really hate cheerleaders ?
7. Explain the whole Elementary-Middle-High School system
8. Do you have sororities like Leagally Blonde ?

These may sound really stupid to you but the USA is very different to the UK. Feel free to PM me any questions about the UK.

Woohoo, I'm the first to answer. I hope other people put their opinions in though, because I'm sure things are different all over the US.

1. What the hell is HOMECOMING ? Homecoming, at least at my school, is a week dedicated to school spirit. Every day we have a different theme to dress up in, which is completely optional. All of homecoming is, really. We also have Deck the Halls that week. There are four main hall ways in my school, and each class (freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors) have one to decorate based on a certain theme. It's a competition, but seniors just about always win. At the end of the week, there is a pep rally, a football game, as well as a dance.
2. Is school like Saved by the Bell ? Haha, I don't even know how to answer this one. We have different classes, we have lockers. At my school, we aren't allowed off campus for lunch (I don't know if they do that in that show...) and just about no one is that close to the principal. No little meetings and parties together.
3. What british tv shows do you guys watch ? Honestly, I don't think I watch any.
4. Is it uncool to be in band ? Well, the band at my school is really, really good. Like second in the nation good. But we still call them band geeks
5. What is a pep rally like ? Everyone gets into the gym, and the drum line plays, the cheerleaders cheer, the football players get introduced, etc etc. I didn't actually go to any because you had to get tickets for them, the school was so big.
6. Does everyone really hate cheerleaders ? I don't. Some of them are stuck up, but some of them are super sweet.
7. Explain the whole Elementary-Middle-High School system. The grades vary a little bit from area to area, but basically Elementary school is first grade to fifth grade. You have the same teacher all day long, and they teach you all the subjects. Middle school is sixth to eighth grade. You have different teachers for your different subjects. High school is ninth grade to twelfth grade. Also, you have different teachers.
8. Do you have sororities like Leagally Blonde ? Yep. Some of them are the stereotypical sororities, others aren't.

1. homecoming is a week where u celibrate football season comnig back and it should be the first home game your team has. WE just had ours all week we dressed up as something different then thursday we had a carnival, friday was the football game, and saturday night we have a semi formal dance. its really an amazing experience!

2.honestly i cant tell you if it is or not it hasnt air on any of my sations in a long time.

3. i watch Monty Python but there's a few others i get i just dont know the names of them.

4.Well in some schools it is but at my school we are one of the top in state and since there are so many students in band you can tpick on any of them. i used to be and it was fun, and i still hvae friends in it and they love it. Band kids Rock lol

5.LOL! Well our pep rallies consist of the dance and hiphop teams dancing way better then cheer and the cheer leaders dropping at least two girls lol. some can be really fun! they sometimes get our teachers invovled in it. its really cool this year cause im an uperclassmen so we get the better side of the gym. underclassmen generally dont see everything most of the stuff is directed toward the upper class men at my school. Also at every pep rally we show off all the teams for that season. Dance is included its so much fun!

6. Um yeah at my school they stick together because no body likes them that much. But that is only because they are pretty stuck up. Our freshmen team this year though are real sweethearts and they get along with most of us.

7. This is different for different areas. In arizona (where i am now) its kinder to sixth is elementry, seventh to eighth is junior high, and freshmen(9th) to senior(12th) is high school, but i went to a school in georgia and there you finish elementry in 5th grade and start what they call middle school in sixth grade.

8. WE do have sororities but thats only in college. They arent that big of a deal either not many people are in them here.
