^No, you DO need to post a salute in order to post a picture of yourself, no matter how unprofessional or professional it is.

well if i do need to post one, why does she say this-

"Also remember that you don't need to salute if you don't want to. A moderator will never ask you for a salute unless you post photos of yourself or your pets that look too professional or fake."

Thanks, i'm stil confused about that part

I understand the reasoning, but I just think it's sad that you have to do this. :( Liars suck worse than mean people IMO.

I couldn't find the answer to this question...

So if you post a picture of your feet/shoes or a pet (?) you have to salute?

A pet? Really?

Your feet?

Thanks for anyone who can clear this up for me or find a thread with the answer! :)

You post your aalute on the dance.net salutes board on the General forum.

You must use lined paper. The paper must be from a spiral notebook or from a yellow writing tablet. You may not just draw random lines on a blank piece of paper.

The original post talks about a pointe salute as separate from a standard face/body salute - is that still the case? I'm not finding anything else about it.

Ok this question has been asked at least 10 times on this thread and it hasn't been answered once so I will ask again. If I ONLY plan on posting pictures of my feet (not whole body with blurred head, but only my legs/feet), do I need a salute? Why would I post a salute with a picture of my face when I only plan on posting pictures of my feet. And if you just want a salute of my feet, isn't that a bit silly? Feet pretty much look the same.

^Don't take it personally! Saluting is just something that we all have to do here on DDN in order to post photos of ourselves on the forums. It's really no big deal. Just do your salute and follow the guidelines on the first page of this thread, and you'll be able to post photos of yourself on DDN without issue in no time. :)

This whole salute thing is totally new to me, and I've participated in a lot of online forums before. Can I just say that I think it's a fantastic idea? And the private salute option is great, too. Thanks for this!
