I have been assisting this little class of 20 ballerinas and they are the cutest little things, one of the girls always wears a tiara to class and the instructor of the class was teasing me saying that was totally me when we were younger, I love seeing the little girls becoming ballerinas with their little buns and mismatched tights and barbie accesories, ha ha!

I too can relate!

I was such a girly girl and I remember staring endlessly at the girls putting their pointe shoes on. Once I was "one of them" I noticed young girls doing the same to me. I used to think those girls were so advanced and mature and grown-up and knew everything about ballet. Once I got there, I realized none of those things were true.

I teach the 14 3-4 year olds. I am pretty lax when it comes to the color of their tights and leos. But you see the little ones come in with purple tights and a red body suit. The mother apologizes to me because little Meaghan picked out her outfit today and would not change her mind. I love it. Shows the kids individual tastes for that day.

Aww! I love it when little girls come in wearing those leotards with built-in tutus, or flowers in their hair. It's SO cute. I never got those; it was black leotard, pink tights for us. Now I feel that I live vicariously through these kids, and ooh and aww every time one of them gets new dance clothes

i have to be the mean assistant teacher and tell the parents that the little girl will have to sit out next time if she doesnt have "proper" dance attire. But yes, it is adorable. And I remember when I was little and I always wanted to be one of the "big girls" who got to do the solo. And now I am one!

I was helping yesterday, and all the little girls were lined up at the barre and almost every single one of them was wearing the same or very similar light pink dance leotard/dress thingie. It was so cute!

Aww. I love being an 'older' dancer. I'm in the...well it doesn't have a name..we call ourselves Goddess Company. Dance Company has three leverls, junior senior and 'goddess'. So, last week, I wore capri pink tights to my jazz class with my gym shorts and tank top. This week one of the Juniors (new to company) was wearing capri tights. Awww.

I have 2 solos classes after the younger ones for one of my dance nights and I enjoy sitting with there parents and chatting and watching them as they come through the door in there little frilly lacey outfits and all frazzled looking. If only they knew how much more work they would be doing in there later years!


But they are SOOO adorable.

I'm going to take this a little further. I'm a studio owner who works a lot with assistant teachers. I always get a kick out of watching the look on an assistant's face the first time a dancer calls them "Miss So and So" and also the first time they get a teacher present such as a gift or drawing. It's really special to see!!!

lol yes Kids are great. I always see lil kid ballet attire and want to buy it haha

Aww i know!! Al of them are so adorable for about the past two weeks my pre ballets have worn all pink and balck except for one who wore purple it was so adorable. the week before halloween they could wear costumes and they all looked soooooo adorable! I remember when i was first called a ms. the first few weeks were so weird to be a ms. but i got used to it and i think its adorable when they call me that. assisting with classes makes me feel so needed and responsible and i know there has to be at least one of those little girls looking up to me and it just makes me feel great.

I saw the cutest thing today. One of my 6 year olds came in wearing a leotard and hot pink and white tye dyed knee socks. I kinda laughed at first and asked if she played soccer (they looked like those long soccer socks), but she goes, "no, they're just socks". It was so cute.

Little kids are adorable!! Sometimes my girls will have their hair all done up or have nail polish on and will HAVE to show me!! It's so cute!!
