Hi

My little girl is starting her comps on 17th Jan , its her first ever comp and she is 7. Im just wondering what hair styles are up to date now so I can get some ideas of what to do with her hair for fast and slow. She has got really long brown hair, same length all over with no fringe.

Thanks

Hiya

Annie Walker (walkersisters) has put up a post on how to get the HUGE side quiffs that you're asking about.

I hope she wont mind, but i've copied and pasted her instructions into this reply.

1 thing i would add to Annie's instructions, is if you crimp all of your hair before doing this then you'll get a better result :)

xxx

Ive seen loads of posts on people asking how to do this , So heres a post to let yous all know how i do it

I do it on my sister amy and she has really long hair i think its how it goes so so big , But here goes ....

1 - Section a bit of hair at the front into a square shape !

2 - Leave a small bit of hair , but enough to comb right over when all the back combing is done !

3 - Split the rest of the hair into 3-4 sections and basically just back comb it to hell , if you point your comb down the way it works better !

4 - Keep back combing untill the hair is in basically a huge back combed ball of tugs lmao ! 2nd picture sill show what its like .

5 - The ends of the big ball of tugs lol , Cirby down to the side , alot of cirbys wont be needed for this , Make sure you cover the big ball of backcombing with millions of hair spray !

6 - Comb the piece of hair you left over the back combing with loads of hair spray , make sure it covers every were the front and back so you cant see the tugs as much

7 - When done this just stick as many cirbys as you can untill its mega secure , and then again cover it with hair spray ..... and there you go !

Its not as hard to get out as it looks , just in the bath/shower take a brush in and cover it with conditioner and bursh through .

Hope this helps yous all , Ive added some pictures of how ive done Amys !

Happy Back-Combing

Annie

Some really good tips on this thread, one piece of advice for getting really smooth hair when in a ponytail is to use a natural bristled brush (and hairspray as well of course) x

Hiiii :]
needing a bit of hairhelp. I have bright blonde hair which is sometimes referred too as white. It is just over shoulder length although I always wear hairextensions which blend really well with my hair and add great length. At comps I usually wear my hair in a quiff and high ponytail. Any ideas of some new styles I could wear at comps and that make my hair colour really stand out?
Thanks alot, with love Gemma XXX.

My daughter is 7 and has quite long hair. I usually crimp it and do a big quiff and the rest in 2 high bobbled on the side. I want to do something a bit different to get her noticed as she dances beginners so she needs to stand out. Any suggestions please? Xx
