Ok peeps,

Well this forum is slowly getting less active!! Coem on!! I know we can't actually dance BUT we can still do everything else.

I am so happy to see so many nice costumes and uniform suggestions - thanks to all for them!

What I wanna see now:

Backdrops
Make-up ideas
Props
Tickets for Cinderella
Posters for Cinderella
Cinderella Programmes


And anything else you can think of.

I'd also like to thank the teachers for the amazing choreography! Well done everyone so far!


INFO:
The performance date WAS 6th of Feb. I am bringing it up to the 2nd of Feb however to get us all on our toes!

We will be doing 2 or maybe 3 performances: I will set up a poll to determin this!

Also, if you have any new ideas or feedback from the dance net ballet theatre, please reply to this threat with them as we'd all love to hear!

I will be setting up a new competition soon so keep an eye out!

LOL! I thought it was getting quiet here too! I was trying to think of stuff to post! Can i make some posters? OR tickets?

Hmm... I have a Q... a really stupid one, that is... But, what are Backdrops and Props? I know that's so dumb thing to ask, but I have no idea, and my dictionary sucks , and if I knew, I actually might help... maybe.

Everyone can make tickets and posters and programs, we want many diff. kinds! Backdrops are the things that hang down from the back of the stage that show the background of the stage(like a piece of cloth w/ a painting of a castle on it) would be the backdrop for a scene in sleeping beauty when the prince is going to the castle. And props are the little hand held things people use on stage(like books, broomsticks, magic wands, etc..) their to small to be scenery b/c they're hand held! Hope that helps! I'm also making programs, etc...

Just one quick thing...I think we need to advertise more for this, other than just in the stage room, because people don't visit there too often, unless they're going to see something that they already know about. I think posters should go up in ALL the VIS forums pretty much, so that everyone knows about our awesome show! lol

I agree, and I was going to do that w/ the posters I make, I always all of mine up in all of the dorms and usually all of the departments!

i've made a poster, its posted somewhere on this forum. Backdrops and Props are all done. I'll bump them up for you guys to see.

The DNBT pre-show party? I'll organise it if you like and then everybody turns up once we've finished the dress rehearsal or something as a good luck thing!!
Then people can post their dresses, etc? What du think? PM me if u like the idea!

how bout a party after the performance..so people can go home and rest..we also have a tradition after the first performace of every ballet we go out to eat and party and then sleep in and then come to the theatre and have the second performance after warm up in the after noon.... ???

I think that party after performance would be really cool.
