Hi, I was wondering what all of you preferred. Mine would be aeropostale or Ambercrombie and Fitch.

What about if we don't like any of those stores? It would have been considerate if you put an other category. Especially considering I would probably stab myself in the eye if I shopped at 90% of those stores.

Really, none of them.

Hollister is dark and loud and overpriced. You can buy the same stuff (and actually see it in the store because *gasp* they use lights) for way less at Old Navy.

Every time I go into Aeropostale, some lame high school girl working comes to about three feet away from me and yells "OK, so like, everything in the store is 50% off and our jeans..." As if I can't hear her. And then she acts like she's better than me. Annoying.

Abercrombie has some really nice things, yes, but I'm not prepared to spend $80 on clearance jeans. I'm just not.

Macy's seems to have some nice things but for some reason I never manage to actually buy something there.

Gap just really isn't my style, plain and simple. Again, some cute things, but yeah I dunno.

JCPenney.. Just no.

American Eagle and the Buckle are, IMO, sell more of the same overpriced clothes as everyone else. Decent jeans but I get all mine from an outlet that sells Calvin Kleins for less than AE sells their jeans. Why bother? Half their stuff looks ruined already anyway.

Deb is a lot of low quality trendy stuff. I'm just not interested in spending money on trendy things that will fall apart in the wash.

As for Limited Too? I'm almost 20. I think I'd be lucky if anything there even fit. They just don't make children's clothing with room for, eh, boobs. And lets face it, my style's changed a lot since I was in 8th grade :/

I shop a lot at boutiques around town, Nordstrom Rack (Ohhh man, insane deals on really nice name brand stuff), Ross/TJMaxx (I am a bargain ho), sometimes Charlotte Russe, places along those lines. I like good quality and classy designs.

Hey, don't jump down her throat! She simply asked which do you prefer. That's not hurting anybody.

You can't put more than, like, ten questions in a poll anyways.

Besides, how is she to know which stores the other countries have? I mean, it's not THAT hard to research, but I couldn't name a single store in Australia for you, but all of those stores, with the exception of Buckle, I know of and have been in.

So basically, what's it hurting? You could do a poll with stores from you country if you like. Nothing wrong with it.

***

My preferred store would be Gap. Not because I work for the company, but because I like their clothes best out of all the rest in the list. Lately Gap Outlet is the only place I buy clothing, they are cheaper than Old Navy, and have a lot of style.

As for the other stores, here are my categorized opinions.

Hollister: I went in once, out of curiosity, and I don't care to go back. It's too dark, the clothes aren't my style, and they are expensive to boot.

Aeropostale: While this store is rather preppy for me, and MOST clothes are too costly, I do get some great deals on things whenever I go in. Like one dollar sunglasses!

Ambercrombie and Fitch: I go in if my friend wants to go in, and other than that, NO. Too expensive, loud, dim, and expensive. Some of their things ARE cute, but not many are me.

Macys: I hardly ever go in, can't afford it. I've bought a pair of super sale jeans there once.

Gap: Now that I get a discount, I live in this store. Before that I couldn't afford much.

Jcpenney: I used to be addicted to the sales there, but now...eh...once in a while I'll get something cute. I like it when they have racks of clothes for two bucks each.

American Eagle: Just like A&F but quieter and brighter.

The Buckle: Never have heard of it until now.

Debs: I used to love this store, and while you CAN get cheap things, it's mostly ghetto fabulous blingy shirts and Mudd jeans, neither of which I'm in the market to buy.

Limited Too: While their stuff is cute, I couldn't squeeze into any of it at my age ^_^ I used to love going in, and when my dad wanted to make my mom feel lesser than thou, he'd buy us stuff from there.

Does anybody else find it amusing that people jump down people's throats for jumping down people's throats? ;)

Hollister: The whole guys working in the girls section freaks me out. There like "Hello! Can I help you find anything? A new bra or panties perhaps?" Um..no.

Aeropostale: I like this store a lot, but there shirts do not fit me. I have to get like an X Small to fit width wise, and then it ends somewhere above my belly button. There shirts and me have major problems.

Ambercrombie and Fitch: I've never been in ours. No thanks Abercrombie, i can rip my own 80 dollar jeans.

Macys: Cute, love the jewlery/perfume, but the clothes are just okay. The prom dresses? Gorgeous!

Gap: Used to hate it, now love the Audrey Hepburn adds, and there skinny jeans.

Jcpenney: eh...okay. Ours is kind of...blah.

American Eagle: I voted for this one. Never mind I own nothing from there, I just love going in there, dreaming, and sitting on the cool couch.

What about Wet Seal, Charlotte Russe, Papaya, Forever 21 or Rue 21? All of those stores have the cutest stuff for so much cheaper.

i feel your pain were i am right now the only stores we have in our mall are jcPennys and the buckle. the jcpennys is about the size of a small dance studio, for everything! tiny so it's a pain to shop. and the buckle there clothing was pricy. I like AE, from my mall back home. i also like wet seal and vantiy.

I voted Hollister even though I find it pricey. I like Abercrombie but it's also really pricey. I really like American Eagle but there jeans are too big for me so I can only buy their tops.
But I really like Wet Seal and Forever 21, and they're both way cheaper.

Aeropostale probably.

I think Hollister's a bit of a poser surf shop. Sorry, but if I want to get real surf clothes I'll go buy Roxy. Abercrombie and Fitch, well I'm too small to fit in their sizes. I still go to Abercrombie because I can fit into it and it is like twice less expensive than A&F. Macys....nahh. Gap is just not my style. Jcpenney is...weellll....American Eagle is cool too. The Buckle is a store that I barely fit in and have barely ever been to. I have no clue what Debs is. And limited too is just a little too glitzy/glammy/girly for me. It seems like a store for maybe...8 year olds. Not like 16 year olds like me.

First to answer you Dancestarr1, none of the above.

Someone should do a poll for Australian DDNers. That would be fun.

Well i'm definately a Hollister girl and I guess Im in the minority

but for me I just like their clothes their short jeans fit really well and give my non existent booty some shape and also I have to say some of their clothes on sale are quite cheap like I have gotten a skirt there for $6.90 and most of my tops there were $9.90

So not all the clothes there are a million dollars

I almost exclusively shop at American Eagle, because their clothes fit just right while looking good and not costing a small fortune (their Clearance rack is perfect for a student budget)

Hollister: Just ugh. I'm not 14 and have no desire to look as if I am.

Aeropostale: Only been there a couple times in the States. It just looks cheap and boring to me.

Abercrombie and Fitch: I have some jeans from A&F, but that's essentially it. Their pants fit me really well, once I can fit a pair with no distressing on them.

Macys: Don't have one anywhere near where I live, I think it may be American only. I had fun there in New York, though.

Gap: I've got a lot of Gap stuff, because it's like a cheap Banana Republic (and I love Banana Republic.) I love their jeans and casual trousers (although I don't know why their sizes are so big- I'm an XS in everything there, and I'm really not that small.)

Jcpenney: Never set foot in one that I know of.

American Eagle: I've got a couple pairs of jeans, but their stuff seems kind of...young, for me. And it's too casual for me to wear to work, so I generally don't even bother with it.

The Buckle: Never been.

Debs: Never been.

Limited Too: Never been.

I'm not American, so there's a few of these stores that I just don't know.

Hollister: I think their shirts are cute, I wouldnt ever but jeans from there though because i could get jeans for so much cheeper. The tops are a little pricey but they are cute. the downside is that if you wear a hollister shirt to school, i can pretty much guarantee that there will be at least 2 other people wearing the same one.

Aero: some of the stuff is ok. i bought a shirt there once and after i washed it the fit was totally different. they have cute accessories/necklaces though

A%F: pretty much the same as hollister but I like hollister more for some reason. i think a&f is a little more expensive.

Macys: I dont think i have ever looked that their clothes

Gap: cute stuff but i dont think i've ever bought anything there

Penneys: some stuff is kinda cute, but prefer to get my clothes somewhere else. its just too...i dont know, not my style

AE: LOVE IT!! its not as populat as hco and a&f so not as many people have stuff from there. their stuff is less "beach" themed and more like "cabin/wilderness-y"

buckle: never been there

Deb: I got my homecoming dress there but the other clothes arent my style

Limited TooL I used to love it but i'm too old for it now. they have some cute stuff for younger kids though!

Eh, I didn't try to make the tone of my post overly excited, as to show that I'm not freaking out at anybody, just making a point.

I don't even feel that it will be so over-the-top as to cause a debate, I didn't figure it would be considered crazy.

Oh well!
