um...

Target, thrift stores, Lord & Taylor, Sears, occasionally Macys, JCPenny (not recently cause the one in my mall closed), etc. I don't need Abercrombie jeans, I'm happy with my Gloria $20-30 and are not filled with holes. I'm not paying someone $80 for jeans that look like someone had a rough day rock climbing, and then skidded across a giant cheese grater.

I love stuff from Hollister, AE, A&F, Aeropostale and Gap! Gap rocks my world! Haha. Though all these stuff don't retail in SIngapore save for Gap, which recently opened, i get stuff from them online and also from factory outlet stores. I love 'em! They aren't quite like anything i can get from normal shops or departmental stores.

I'm a hollister brand rep/pre manager and wow do i feel really hated right now... ha. i hate when people say our clothes are overpriced when ae's clothes are the same price, if not more, full price and if you know how to work it you generally dont have to look 14 if you wear them. also, most stores, including victorias secret have guys working in girls sections and i cant remember the last time we sold bras or panties... sorry just have to stand up for my brand since ill probably be working there forever since im going to philly for internship (im excited!!!!) ... dont take it as jumping down anyones throats!!! but as for my favorite store, it wouldnt be hollister just because i work there ... i usually try to buy nicer clothes than any of those listed because im super skinny so usually nothing is very flattering... im really big into true religion and seven jeans and as for my tops - i just buy what looks good!

Aeropostale - Love that store... I got some really nice sweaters and jeans there. A little bit expensive, though.
Ambercrombie and Fitch - UHG. I hate their clothes. They're ugly and tacky.
Macys - I actually like Macy's. I got an awesome jacket there, and it wasn't INCREDIBLY expensive.
Gap - Their clothes are ugly. ):
JC penney - Um... They have nice stuff. SOme of it is a little bit tacky, I guess.
American Eagle - I looooooove their clothes, but it's way too expensive for me. ):
The Buckle - Never heard of it..
Debs - Never heard of it..
Limited Too - Um. No. Just no.

So. I guess Aeropostale would be my favorite out of all of those, with Macy's coming in a close second.

(Um. Sorry for the double post. ): My computer was being stupid.)

Hollister-Been in one once, when someone gave me a giftcard or something. I acutally did end up buying a really nice, classy cardigan type sweater. But I can't hear or see int hat store. And there is no where to move, everythings all squished in on like 5 feet of area.

Aeropostale-I'm not necessarily a big fan, but I have a ton of clothes from there. It's really inexpensive, so I buy a lot of basics, (ie. camis). Also, I only buy pants there, because it's the only place that I can find jeans that fit me at a reasonable price.

Abercrombie and Fitch-Way, way too expensive for my taste.

Macys-There isn't one near me

Gap-I buy some of their purses sometimes when they get marked down. But their clothes, really, really, really, don't fit me at all. The shirts are too short and baggy on me.

JCPenny-I prefer Younkers, Dillard's, and Von Maur

American Eagle-I love their sweaters. And I've been pleased with some of the sheos I've gotten from there

The Buckle-I can never seem to find anything cute in there. Although we make fun of this store a lot ebcause they work on commision, adn we used to do Buckle runs when we were younger

Debs- Ew. This store is really trashy and really poor quality in my area.

Limited Too- I sued to exclusively shop there when I was younger, because they had cute slim jeans. Now, I find it so expensive for girls clothing. 10 year old girls shouldn't be paying $50 for jeans! All of their clothes are way more expensive than the clothes that I buy.

My favorite store ever is Forever 21.

Hollister: I love this store! My favorite things from here are logo tees and tote bags. I like their flip flops as well.

Aeropostale: ♥ I looove Aero!

Ambercrombie and Fitch: A place to get accessories. Enough Said.

Macys: I like this store. But I don't really get clothes from there. Except for formal dresses.

Gap: Not really.

Jcpenney: NO!

American Eagle: Hawt! I like this place too.

The Buckle: ?

Debs: Cheap.

Limited Too: I liked it when i was in 6th grade. Now, not so much for an 8th grader.

Hollister is my all time favorite! (Gotta love the Seagull :P) I do most of my shopping at Hollister, and I don't think they are expensive at all. I also think it's cool how the store is dark, and they always have good music playing. But Aeropostale is the place where I get hoodies...lol. I like Aero too. American Eagle has the cutest tote bags and shoes! I like AE's jeans as well.

Hollister, Aero, A&F, AE- You pay for the name. If getting a shirt that says "Hollister" on it makes you feel special, ok. Not I. Well, I did when I was 13, because I felt all cool, but no.

Macy's, Deb, JCPenney- cute clothing at resonable prices. You can make an outfit for under $25 if you want to!

P.S.- I voted Macy's

Although I don't shop there often because of the price, I would prefer to shop at American Eagle. We don't have four of those stores within an hour of here... but I at least know where they are.
Ashley (armwarmer): it's all good. you're still cool. :)

Why feel hated? OK, so some people don't like the store you work at. It's not like a personal attack or anything.

Hollister may be the same price as AE... but I'm guessing if one thinks one is overpriced, one would probably say the other is also overpriced. Personally, I think both are. AE never, ever manages to have anything I want to buy. It's not my style. I consider it "overpriced" because when I go in, I see a lot of things that already look old and worn, even though they're brand new. I can't imaging paying out the butt for a brand new wardrobe that already looks like it's seen one too many laundr-o-mats. I want new clothes that actually look new. Admittedly sometimes they do have cute tops, but I never end up buying those, either. The quality of the fabric is pretty crappy for what they charge. They had some cute shirts when I was doing winter shopping a few months ago, but they were charging $40 for them. Seemed ridiculous given that I'd seen similar shirts for half the price made of MUCH nicer fabrics. To me, that's the very essence of overpriced.

Hollister has some cute things. Arguably, a lot of it probably is decent quality and priced "right". A lot of it isn't, though. $25 for a tank top just doesn't cut it for me. Target has pretty much the same tops for a lot less, why bother? Not a lot of things in Hollister are really my style to begin with. If I liked it more, I'd be willing to spend the money. It's just not everyone's thing, you shouldn't necessarily take it personally. I just find it kind of annoying to try and shop in a store that's so dark and cramped and loud. When I honestly can't figure out whether or not the shirt I'm holding is pink, peach, or orange, it's too dark.

Im live in the UK and I have heard of most of those stores apart from the last three.

I liked American Eagle when I was in America. But I didnt got to A&F or Hollister- but from what I gather all 3 are the same with A&F being more expensive and Hollister being a little bit more beach style.

Im going to New York in March, and have been looking at the stores on the net (yeh Im sad!) and I liked the look of Aeropostale. I liked Forever 21 when I was there before too.

As for Gap, their clothes just dont fit me. An XS is too big for me, and Im not even that small.

Buckle. It's the only one I like besides Macy*s. I love how their clothes are more unique than standarazied-preppy A&F and aero. They have some funky stuff that you can throw together to make a look that actually doesn't scream "prep!"

I LOVE Abercrombie & Fitch. My boyfriend works there and I just interviewed to get a job there a couple days ago, and the odds are looking pretty darn good [according to what the manager told my boyfriend.] Anyway, I have to correct the spelling. it's not Ambercrombie & Fitch, it's Abercrombie & Fitch. [No "m" in Aber]. This wouldnt bother most people, but it bothers me for the most ridiculous reason. My boyfriends ex's name is Amber and so I'm not too fond of the name, so the fact that people call it Ambercrombie bugs me since my boyfriend works there. [told you is was the most ridiculous reason.]

haha.
