I beg of you - please tell me how to rid myself of their unfitted baggy-ness.

EDIT: I mean anything. Sizing, cute ideas, whatever. I just need something to do with 'em!

My favourite thing to do is cut them all the way up the sides (till you have two flaps - front and back - hanging from the neck hole) - then cut fringes (about 1 inch apart) and tie the front and back together again.

If you wear it while someone else ties it, it will be nice and fitted.

However, you will have lots of holes going up the sides of your shirt, so make sure you wear a tank top underneath!

Do you sew? Cause I could tell you the most basic way to re-size a t-shirt and still have it look like a t-shirt if you want...but if you don't sew, it's another story, heh.

^ I would love to know how to do that. Why people never order a size small or medium for shirts they hand out is beyond me.

I'd definately love to hear your re-sizing instructions. I have a pretty basic knowledge of sewing.

I always would love to hear the sewing instructions. I have a ton of school related tshirts that I love, but never wear because even though they are the smallet size, they are still pretty big on me.

Ok, some people will tell you to sew all the way up the side, make a turn at the sleeve, and finish it off.

In my opinion, that makes funny wrinkles and looks bad, heh.

So the simplest way to do it is to cut off the sleeves at the seam and then fit the body part how you want it. You'll more than likely need to cut some material off the shoulders, as the line where sleeves start is usually at the shoulder, but baggy shirts will have it much lower. Once the body is set, add the sleeves back on, adjusting the size to fit the new armhole you've created. It's actually really simple and I'm about to fix up a few shirts, so if you want pics, I can try to take some. :) Not sure how great my word-only explanations are.

Actually, I was a camper. :D That shirt was more of a fluke because I got it late and they didn't have any smaller sizes left. Still, so many come huge, no matter where they're from. I have way too many extra large white t's.

Thanks for the sewing instructions, Munkstein....I would love some pictures, though. Just to make sure I understand what you're saying.

my mom got me the book "generation T" by megan nicolay (i think spelled right), which has 108 ways to transform teeshirts. some of them are kind of ridiculous, but some of them were cute. i've only done a few of them, because i don't like cutting up my clothes (even if they are too big, i'm not sure why) but maybe see if they've got one at your library and check it out.

Can I tell you what my sister told me about shirts? She used to work for a man named Paul Winter, a new age artist. She used to say when she was at a concert, they always had lots of the small sizes left over, so they bought more huge sizes and less of the small sizes. I still wear clothes in the Girls Dept. even though I am an adult and I too have a ton of huge shirts. I tend to wear most of them as night shirts in the summer. I may do that trick on makeing some of them smaller though.
