anyone out there do any euqestrian sports??

jumping in particular??

I don't jump, but I'd loooove to.
I've been riding for about five or six years, and I ride on a drill team. Funfun.

I do h/j. been riding for a year and a half about now.

i used to ride - i wish i still could but it's expensive and i don't have the money or the time. it was mostly hunter/jumper but i've tried saddle seat too. i loved hunter/jumper even though i only jumped a little (which i loved), but i didn't like saddle seat. actually, the only reason i tried saddle seat to begin with is because i mixed it up with sidesaddle (for any non - equestrians, sidesaddle is the way women used to ride horses, with both legs on the left side, before it was considered proper for them to ride astride) . i don't know why, but i've always wanted to learn sidesaddle, weird huh?

I have a horse, a 9 year old arab mare we do't really jump much though, mainly because my yard hasn't got an arena yet (its being built!) so there is nowhere to do it.

i used to jump loads with my old horse though! Love it!

i jump! i have two mares - a 13 y/o Quarter Horse and a 16 y/o Arabian. i haven't been able to ride much lately though, due to dance team

Yeah, i ride. I havnt been taking lessons for a while though but until i stopped i was jumping and things.
I never took part in any show jumping for competitions though, due to the fact it cost £70 for the right jacket, £200 entry fee and £160 to borrow the horse (im not allowed my own) and i couldnt afford it.

I used to ride many years ago, used to love it. Did some jumping, mind you come to think of it i did some falling off as well!


Would love to go again but don't know if my body would be up to it these days.

OOOH!!! I ride! "my" horse monica is the bestest friend I ever had I love jumping too! SO EXCITING! I've been riding for about 6 years now. cool i found another jumper out there!
