Well it's here, my team did manage to pay for it after all our troubles and we will be there. unfortunatly we have to wear old grandma uniforms (their not that bad but we couldn't get the new uniforms that the upperclsasmen have in time for the freshmen.) Our routine is quite cool and were hoping to make it to finals, the ultimate goal being 6th place! (they got 7th last year) Anyone else going? I go to Stonehill College. It's Division II all girl. Our uniforms are purple, black and white and say hill on them. I'm the girl that tumbles basically the whole routine (6 times, because my whole stunt group quit because of the crazy coaching situation we encountered in January...) We leave in about 30 hours!

Ohh good luck!! I wish I was going to nationals, but I'm not even on a team. Our school's squad is ridiculously difficult to make, and I have almost no tumbling skills at all. Or the 30 hours a week they want members to commit to during the school year.

sorry guys this took awhile. Here's what happened:

How College nationals work is all the teams in each division (my team is d2 all girl) compete the first day. The top half make it to finals. So since there were 16 teams, the top 8 made it to finals. We got 9th, but .02! So on the morning finals we had to compete again against the remaining 8 teams in the challenge cup. The team that wins the challenge cup also goes to finals. Well, we got 2nd by .01!!!! yeah it was sooo close, but after all that happened just getting to Daytona, competing and coming that close was a huge accomplishment and the first tryouts for next year are next week so hopefully we'll get some new talent, especially more tumblers! I'll post pictures asap.
