Hi Hyindlas! I hope you are a moderator and I have done this right. Please excuse me if I haven't--I am new and trying to learn this system. I posted a couple of irish dance dresses for sale, and someone told me that I accidentally posted one of the dresses 3 times! Gosh--I am so sorry. She told me to contact a moderator to help me out. I haven't even been able to see them listed on the postings yet, so I didnt know there were any duplicate postings. Can you help me? Aaaargh!
Thanks,
Shawn Dady

Sorry ... I am very new to this .. what does it mean to PM something (or somebody?) I see the button, and I suppose it has something to do with IMing someone, but I don't know. Is it private message, and does that send a message to the person's email? Help!

How do I report someone for commenting on my dress that I am selling but are not actually interested in buying it.

I have had 2 people comment today just saying it is a lovely dress !!!

If you click the MOD button (See attached screenshot) on the offending post/thread and type a message in the box that appears then this will then reach a moderator and they will then decide whether or not the post/thread breaches the terms of use on DDN.

Hope that helps. :)

Claire.

But when those people are asking you to include the rest of the details we ask you to include they're really doing you a favour, we do state in the forum rules that posts that do not comply will be removed.

And when you reported the member who really was star farming their post was removed.

Some people do this because the only way you can post a new thread (that is post a dress for sale) is by obtaining 20 post replies for your account. At least this is the current rationale for why I can't start a new thread on this site (even though I just posted a dress for sale a couple of months ago). It's very frustrating.

Are the posts removed if the dresses are sold? I saw a dress with had not been enquired about for more than 60 days so I couldn't ask a question about it - why isn't it just removed from the listings? I find that a bit confusing.
Thanks

If I reply to my own messages is that classed as star farming?
I wanted to ammend my ad details but cannot so the other option is to reply. My ads are already at the top of the page so I would not be bumping them up at all.
Just wondered because iam new to dance.net and I dont want to offend people if I do.
