ok. well i was just wondering what different kinds of sabres there were... because i am a baton twirler and our group decided to do a flad routine and some of us use sabres (like me) and we use metal ones. but i was reading some posts on here and it seems like there other ones... that may be like lighter... and hurt less. its the first time weve ever done guard stuff too. but i already have to juggle 3 sabres, do 3 turns, elbow rolls and i do an illusion. and have caught a one reverse too. and weve only been practicing for like 2 weeks or so.

There are some that are more padded and the metal isn't exposed like the metal spanish ones. I found a link that shows different types that might help

the ones were using don't look like any of those... the handle(hilt to use proper sabre terms) is also all metal.

You're not trying to spin the sabre like a baton are you? Sabre technique and baton technique are as different as night and day...

no. we have an instructor that has coached world champion gurads his name is tony... dont know the last name.

but rolls and fishtails and things like that are done the same.

i looked both the excalibur and kings up and they both look the same to me. whats different about them??

ok. well i looked on the sabre at practice today and it is a king.
